All my writing is now archived at slumber@DW. HP is quite clearly my fandom, though way back in mid-2000 I also dabbled in others (QaF, Kill Bill, Peter Pan, Rainbow Boys, As Told by Ginger, Uptown Girls--yeah, I don't know either :\) and they're all listed here. I'm dividing the HP fics into fics (anything above 1000 words), ficlets (501 to 999 words), and drabbles (500 and under), just because I've too many drabbles. I also added the year I wrote the fic, to (hopefully) excuse my older work. :|

If the way I've organized this is a little off-putting, I have also tagged fics by word count, rating, and character (and there are a lot of minor ones; I didn't realize til I started tagging), so if you'd like to browse through that way, feel free to do so here. Most of it are under the "character" and "fic" tags.

As always, feedback of any sort is always appreciated, even if it may be years behind. Happy reading! ♥

  1. Nearly forget to print the all-important ticket needed.
  2. Leave work early to give self time to be at the event.
  3. Arrive home to discard bag and stuff.
  4. Wear rubber shoes.
  5. Set LJ up so you can text updates. :|

So, uh. I might get slightly annoying. I promise to only update if something REALLY awesome happens, like if there's a stampede or something. So you know you were in my thoughts. ♥ :| But yes. Whatever. I am off to witness American history in the making! ('Cause, you know, it's also the world at stake here! Maybe. :|)

From [livejournal.com profile] acidpop25:

1. List your top ten ships.
2. Put all of them in order of your love for them; 10 to 1, 1 being your favorite.
3. Name their fandom.
4. Supply photos for said people.
5. Tag six people. Coming up with the ships is enough. :| But you must all do it!

And in what I tried to be proper order... )

That Lust Meme: The Rules of the Game

1) List 5 3 celebrities you would consider having sex with without even asking questions.
2) Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them [5 3 - 1, 1 is the hottest].
3) Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you.
4) Supply photos for said people.
5) Tag five people to do the same. (Tagging [livejournal.com profile] ccharlotte, though I have it on good authority we basically have the same top three list, though in varying order :|, [livejournal.com profile] miss_charmed, [livejournal.com profile] boho, [livejournal.com profile] thethirdbar, and [livejournal.com profile] ant_power)

What, I only have three? Tragically, yes. While there is a neverending supply of pretty people in the world, if any of them ever came my way and tried to hit on me or get me in bed, I might-- there are only three people I'd actually do, without feeling any sort of guilt or inferiority or whatever else whatsoever.

Here's a list of the pretty people I'd love to look at but NOT do, necessarily:

10. Chace Crawford - Gossip Girl Gossip Girl Gossip Girl
9. Ed Westwick - Gossip Girl Gossip Girl Gossip Girl
8. Noel Fielding - Big Fat Quiz of the Year--he's just too adorable for words. That, and if Jimmy Carr is to be believed, sleeping with him will likely get me STD. :| (Russell Brand, more likely.)
7. Russell Brand - BFQotY. What? He's conventionally attractive.
6. Neil Patrick Harris - First there was How I Met Your Mother, and then there's Dr Horrible's Singalong Blog-- I can't help it, this guy is cute. Perhaps not in the oh-em-gee-I-wanna-sleep-with-you way, but I totes want to be friends with Barney. He's awesome and legen--wait for it--dary.
5. David Tennant - so so so cute, but you just don't sleep with the Doctor.
4. Natalie Dormer - The Tudors--man, I cannot stop staring at this woman every time I watch an episode of The Tudors. She is just so so so gorgeous and pretty and delicate and gah, so so so flawless. But out of pure reverence I can just, like, never touch her, so, you know. She stays here. Outside the cut. :|

And my top three, those who I would ACTUALLY sleep with )
slumber: (GA: not boring at all)
Since this entry I feel like I can say nothing else that is more interesting or more amusing, so I'll go for the opposite and bore you to tears. See my icon be ironic. Hahaha.

  • I got a part time job starting yesterday and consequently overslept for it.
  • I have got a major oral and written presentation due next Tuesday and even though it's group work, I'm essentially micromanaging it and I haven't written anything for the paper yet.
  • I will be out of town on the one weekened before the project. Shall be in New York from Friday to Sunday.
  • I have 45 minutes until the bus to the downtown campus arrives, and instead of being productive I am contemplating catching up on Heroes. (I probably won't, but I'll likely not be productive either.)
  • I still need to do my laundry tonight when I get back home at like, 10pm. Fun.

On the bright side:

  • I had another presentation/homework/project due on Monday which required research, but thankfully the research topic overlapped with what I was already doing for Tuesday, so yesterday I just sent my bits to my groupmates.
  • I will have money to pay for the swanky ivory coat I ordered. :|
  • The quarter will soon be over.

QUESTION: If the Harry Potter series were real, and somewhere in an alley between a bookstore and an audio store Diagon Alley bustles to life, and-- wait, hang on.

Which BNF do you think will most likely fit in with the world of Harry Potter and why? :|

Yes, of course this question is important. :| OH MY GOD I THINK I KNOW WHO. *ponders*

*weeps*

1. I am home, which in itself isn't bad, but it is so freakin' hot and oh, oh, GIVE ME COLD WEATHER BACK. (My room's nice and airconditioned, though.)

2. I accidentally deleted my photos from Amsterdam. D: (Well. There were only around five of them, so I suppose it wasn't TOO big a deal, but. That was Anne Frank's house and the Homomonument! D:)

3. Why are there no Doctor Who uploads yet? DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:
slumber: (Default)
Saw Spiderman 3 today. Was no longer as excited to see it, but oh my goodness, they made me wait in line for NEARLY AN HOUR just to get tickets, so I had to psyche myself up for it.

It was surprisingly good. Much better than the sequel.

It's probably because by this time, everyone--well, the producers, actors, me--know well enough not to take the freakin' franchise seriously, and laughs would be had all around.

That, and they finally killed Mary Jane.

Well, no. I'm kidding. :D (Seriously, did you think I'd put up spoilers?)

But seriously. You guys should watch it. It's a slash fangirl's wet dream. And you cannot miss the following:

  • Harry Osborn's grin (ngh)
  • Peter Parker as a My Chemical Romance band member (I kid you not, he gets the emo hairstyle down pat)
  • Peter Parker shakin' his booty (Hey Line, you like hips, don't you?)
  • Harry Osborn doing the twist (Even more dorky hip action!)
  • Alfred (Crossed over from Batman, I swear)
  • Green Goblin the Daddy Pimp (all he needs is a pimp cane!)
  • Spidey, lying on his back, panting and worn out, and looking at Harry, saying: "You came." (Really, I shouldn't be made to watch these things.)

I can't wait for Pirates next. Captain Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.
slumber: (Default)
What's Annoying:

  • Meeting up with friends who, when you attempt to sympathise and say things like "Yeah, I know what you mean. It's hard to get over someone you really loved." challenge you with replies like "Do you really? Do you really know what it's like to get over planning the future, going to get married in a long-term relationship sort of thing? Do you?"

(I'm on your freakin' side here, seriously.)

  • Megaupload refusing to work when I need it to. I need it to work. Need it. (Okay maybe not really, but. Wah.)

  • Cellphones that refuse to send text messages.

What's Not Annoying:

  • Torchwood and Doctor Who, and watching them with Line. *bounces--hahaha--in seat* More episodes later, wheeee. More specifically, however, Ten and Captain Jack Harkness (ever notice how people called "Captain Jack" are automatically awesome? I am naming my kid that, now. :|) are so very brilliant, yes. I need to watch David Tennant again. And Jack. Yes. Hee.

  • Sendspace works. *\o/*

  • Plans falling into place, bit by tiny bit. (Although yes, yes, If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans, I know. :\ But eep. *crosses fingers*)

  • I've uploaded an old Joaquin Phoenix mood theme I created to [livejournal.com profile] creativeslumber. Jude Law might be coming up soon, and I'm much prouder of that, really, but if you like Joaquin, go ahead and check it out. I want to mood theme something. :|

  • I am not, in actuality, trying to get over anyone, so I guess what above-mentioned friend said does hold some water.

This song is awesome, and if you don't believe me, you can click and hear it in real time instead of downloading.

imeem's nifty, why have we not discovered this before?

EDIT: Line says it's bad, but to put it into context, it's a parody of bubblegum Britney pop, which THEREFORE makes it CLEVER trash, and not my way of, as she put it, "circumventing the system and being able to enjoy Britney". PFFT.

EDIT EDIT:

And HERE is a parody of 80s pop. You must also listen to it.

LAST EDIT, I SWEAR:

Actually, forget the Pop! song, JUST WATCH ITS VIDEO. Bad 80s Pop as parodied! Hugh Grant shaking his ass! A FAKE HOSPITAL SCENE! FAKE BACKGROUNDS, etc etc. Hilarity all around! :D
slumber: (GA: not boring at all)
  • I've bought speakers (for the low low price of $5!) so now I can actually listen to music through my iPod without screwing up my laptop's virtual memory. \o/

  • Unfortunately, for some reason, my laptop can't detect my external hard drive. :\

  • Cameron and Chase are engaged zomg. Well, not Cameron and Chase so much more as the actors who play them. :| I didn't even know they were dating!

  • What's your favourite movie ever that nobody's heard of? For the last few weeks I've been watching random movies on and off and I stumbled upon Fried Green Tomatoes and loved it. Also checked out this Korean film called Sad Movie and realised I like crying at movies. :| And and and I've never actually heard of Reefer Madness the Movie Musical until now, and wuh. I love musicals. :|

  • A Starbucks barista came over to our table yesterday and asked us if we wanted to do a coffee taste testing. Curious, my friend and I agreed, and he gave us the boldest, most intense coffee blend I've ever tasted. I'm not a coffee drinker, but man that was good coffee, and also, I love learning about things like How to Taste Coffee. You think you know, but you have NO idea, haha.

  • December's over. When are Grey's, House, and Heroes coming back? :(

  • My icon is ironic.
slumber: (bored)
Wuh. Why is my [livejournal.com profile] teh_music post not posted yet? I know I put it up before the last batch of posts, woe. :\ It's up, hurrah!

They cancelled classes today, and of course I'm pleased, because it means a few extra days to read up on the Insurance Code and do exercises in Finance (which I keep typing as Finacne, wtf :|) -- and [livejournal.com profile] jaig! You don't have to submit your research paper just yet, do you? :D -- but I'll be damned if I can ever be productive sitting at home. :\

Am going to this cafe place that my friend found, though, which is near our house and is relatively cheap for spending a dozen hours studying. Hopefully I can, with a burst of channeled energy, finish everything I need done for Marketing next week. Or something. Hurrah.

Watched Aeon Flux yesterday with my brother instead of Memoirs of a Geisha because we came too late and didn't want to see Memoirs halfway through, even though plenty have told us that Aeon Flux was a disappointment.

It was.

Plenty of my friends, because of Valentine's Day, I'm certain, have been all with the wallow lately. (Much love to all, by the way, and yes, this IS a late post on Valentine's. Ish. Don't you know, lateness is my trademark. Wouldn't be me if I wasn't late, and everything.) So, hm. If anyone's in the mood, here's a couple of different media. :|

Wallowing Resource Material:

  • For Wallowing - the playlist, which isn't much and is probably horribly outdated. I don't know the songs I own, but yes. Request away. :| I'll likely have time over the weekend to upload them for you.

  • A Story of Love - the story, by Ray Bradbury. Randomly posted, because my friend told me about it and I looked it up and wuh. Pretty cool.

  • The Art of Losing - the poem, by Elizabeth Bishop, which I remembered from first year readings and tried looking up, because I kept wanting to show it to my friend. (Yes, dolts, I'm not making her up. :| Incidentally, she was the one who referred me to the poem I posted a couple of entries back.)

  • DVDs - so I can't link to any of them, sadly, and neither can I offer them up for sending to random people, but no wallowing is good wallowing without ice cream, tissue, and these movies: Love Actually, Closer, Brokeback Mountain (Duh. :P), Love Story (which I've never actually seen, but you know. :P), and you know what? Try Little Manhattan on for size too.

  • Wallow Food - According to Barbara Novak, chocolate's a good substitute as any for a man, and this, Willy Wonka says, is because chocolate releases endorphins, which give people the feeling of being in love. If you've no chocolate, there's always ice cream, Oreos, chips, butter-caramel popcorn, pizza, etcetera. :P

Yes, I think that's about it for today. ♥
slumber: (dorky)
A few realisations came to light today, tumbling together and colliding in such a perfect, timed way that it can be nothing more than Fate's doing. :|

  1. There is far too much attention given to Gryffindor and Slytherin, both in canon and in fandom;

  2. There are at least two communities for Hufflepuff fiction: [livejournal.com profile] huff_fics and [livejournal.com profile] hufflepuffslash, and the release of GoF can only mean a resurgence in an ever-growing popularity of the house;

  3. Despite having the most characters named and given--in Harry's year, at least, we know five boys: Stephen, Terry, Michael, Anthony, Kevin and five girls: Su, Morag, Lisa, Mandy, Padma--Ravenclaw actually has quite a number of underdeveloped characters; and perhaps, the most important:

  4. There is no community for Ravenclaw fanfics. At all. (Well, [livejournal.com profile] terrymichael, and I adore that comm to pieces, because HELLO, Terry and Michael, but you know. There are just two of them.)

  5. [livejournal.com profile] claw_and_tales: Because you love me, and the Ravenclaw in you. ;) Ew I need to work on advertising. :|
