Prejudice on all sides: the Potter side treats Slytherins like scum, the Voldie side treats Mudbloods like scum. No winners.

Oh Ginny. I've always felt that she got the short shrift, both in the books and in the films, and never was it more in evidence than in this film. Even in the books, I've always thought Ginny was supposed to be a lot more awesome than we were actually shown she was, and in this film she got something like two seconds of screen time total, so it wasn't exactly a chance to showcase her best side. I felt bad for Bonnie Wright, who deserved more.

Watching character body language in this film is fairly telling: the only female who spends a lot of time in Harry's personal space is Hermione. In fact, in a lot of emotional scenes she's filmed closer to Harry than to Ron OR Ginny, which is a problem when the director tried to sell an epic Hermione/Ron romance to me. I don't really have any shipping loyalties in HP fandom, but to me it looked pretty clear that this film posited that Harry and Hermione had (at the very least) an oddly close relationship. I mean, the final shot is her pressed up behind him against his shoulder, with Ron standing further away and in the background. I'd have rather had a shot of the three of them side-by-side, if they were going for Trio shots.

Rickman fucking KILLED the Snape role in this film. From that opening shot of him standing in silhouette on the tower, to his final death scene, I was impressed. Radcliffe was also notably good, and has grown so much as an actor. I thought that his Harry had some really subtle moments in the film, and he made the most of them. A far cry from the 'bash over the head' acting of the first or second films, and a testament to his maturation as an actor.
Narcissa was indeed awesome. That little shot of her grabbing Draco and marching out of Hogwarts, spine straight, head high, while her husband cowered terrified behind her? Fantastic.
