*taking a deep breath*
I've finally gathered up the courage to post the first femmeslash story that I wrote. Er... I'm so sorry this isn't Harry Potter. *cringes* It's pretty short, because I wrote it at the back of a notebook after having seen the movie. Ah well.
Title: Rationalizations at Three
Fandom: Uptown Girls
Pairing: Molly/Ray
Length: 542 words in all
Rating: R
Warnings: Femmeslash, Chan
Summary: Molly and Ray meet halfway, and it's right, but Neal waits. Three drabbles.
Background: Molly is 23 years old and acts like she's still in high school. Ray is eight and acts like she's eighty. Molly loses money and has to take a job as Ray's nanny. The movie makes their interaction so slashy I had to write a fic. (Neal is a rising rock star who becomes Molly's boyfriend.)
Molly: Halfway
She knows it's wrong, and she should put an end to it, but she has no desire to. Molly had never been known for her self-control, and Ray's lips on hers, moving urgently, tiny tongue darting in and out and making her want, makes her forget.
She didn't ask for this. It was Ray who held her that night, and kissed her, and did the most wonderful things to her that a child shouldn't know how to do, even though she never asked. A voice inside her head tries to protest, only to be silenced with a kiss on her jaw, or a flutter of breath on her neck, or a ghostly hand on her skin.
She doesn't want to remember that Ray is only eight, and that she is twenty-three, that they are both female and Neal is at home waiting for her, because now it's only Ray, and her, and that's all she cares to be aware of. And Ray isn't eight, not really, and she doesn't act twenty-three at all, and it's funny how they are, because somehow it doesn't matter anymore, if they meet halfway.
Ray: Right
She loves this new feeling, this new side to Molly that she just loves exploring. She loves experimenting, finding out what would make Molly shiver, or moan, or both. She loves Molly very much, and she wants to show it and this is the best way she knows how.
She knows it's not normal. She knows she should feel bad, the way Molly does after they touch and kiss. She should probably cry too, and maybe that would make Molly stop, because Molly wants to stop. But Ray doesn't want her to, so she takes Molly into her arms, and strokes her hair and kisses her head as she sobs into her naked chest and says sorry, and Ray says that there's nothing to be sorry about, that she loves kissing Molly and it's not wrong, even if it isn't normal, and she knows that she's right.
Neal: Waiting
It's past three in the morning and Molly isn't home yet. Neal is getting impatient and he knows it's most likely Molly won't be home at all.
He's waiting for the phone call Molly would make, about having stayed up late talking with Ray and forgetting the time and would he please forgive her for staying over at Ray's. He waits until he can say no, he can't forgive her, because he knows she's sleeping with somebody else, and even if he doesn't want to admit it, he knows it's Ray, because he's seen the way Molly looks at her, and he knows it's more than friendship, because that's the way he looks at Molly and he knows he loves her.
He wants to tell Molly she's disgusting and she shouldn't do it anymore, that Ray is a child and he is a man, and would Molly please make the right decision. He waits until the phone rings and Molly calls so he can tell her that. But Molly is his muse, and he loves her, so when she does call, at seven in the morning, he says he forgives her and until she comes back home he will wait.
