monday you can fall apart, tuesday wednesday break my heart

  • Friday: was when I watched Stormbreaker with [livejournal.com profile] miss_charmed and [livejournal.com profile] draconianangel last Friday. The movie was so weird but Alex Pettyfer was so pretty. And we missed most of the parts with Ewan McGregor in it because of traffic. But that was okay, because we played Spot the Star Playing the Supporting Character and they wouldn't believe me when I said Smithers was Stephen Fry until Robbie Coltrane walked in as Prime Minister. Robbbie Coltrane's adorable. So are [livejournal.com profile] draconianangel's yaoi manga. She better really give me something to download. :|

  • Saturday: was depressing. It started lethargically, peaked in guilt, moved along by depressed drinking disguised as market research with L and N, and finally ended in McDonalds. Kinda stupid, but I guess misery loving company really does happen. If I had to drown my sorrows in alcohol, it might as well be with them. We all sort of did anyway. Oops. :P And McDonalds, McDonalds. You sell grease and capitalism and you're open 24/7. Could I love you any more? ♥

  • Sunday: was for the house. We ate out, and my mom commented that she bet my stomach took in less per meal now. THAT comment was inspired by my unfinished bowl of wanton noodles. Somehow I couldn't believe that I would ever have finished that bowl--it was HUGE, I swear--at any point of my life, big stomach or not. *eyeroll*

  • Monday: was my first ever gig at guesting for my friend's radio program. Of all the playlists I could possibly come up with, it had to be musicals. ♫ It was fun, though. The best way to spend an hour of your free time is to listen to your favourite songs blasting through the walls of a small airconditioned booth while the world outside's drowning in rain.

  • Tuesday: didn't have any classes, so I stayed home and tried finishing up The Apprentice Season 4. It might have been four weeks of downloading, but after two days I'm nearly done watching the whole thing. :| *weeps* (ETA: And Rebecca! She's so pretty and cool and young! And cool. Generally very cool. With a pretty name! She's like, right below Brian Kinney on My List.)

I do believe that is all.

Alex Pettyfer too good looking for a 16 year old. Haha. I love Stormbreaker though! It was better than I thought it would be.

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
Too good for 16, I know! Nnnggh. And we decided to watch it because a) [livejournal.com profile] draconianangel already saw Click, b) none of us were huge Colin Farrell and/or action movie fans, and c) [livejournal.com profile] tastes_of_ink loved Stormbreaker so much. I thought the comic additions (like the shot-down pigeon!) were strange but amusing and different. :P

The fact that your friends did not recognise (and worship!) Stephen Fry immediately makes me sad. :|

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
To be fair, we've not been raised to worship him. :| I, honestly, only know him from Hitchhiker's, V for Vendetta, this movie, and I am still just about to buy one of his books. :|

[identity profile] boho.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
You've gone down in my estimations, Evette!! (I have The Liar on audiobook if you want sometime? It's one of my favourite by him, and my iPod is named after the main character.)

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
*weeps* Oh how could I ever redeem myself? (Oh my goodness yes DO I!!! :D)

[identity profile] boho.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
poke me tomorrow? it's on my big computer which makes way too much noise to be switching on right now.

[identity profile] boho.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
that is amazing. :|

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hush. :|

Ok so,
1. RENT ICON! My god I cannot begin to tell you how much I adore that musical.
2. MUSCIALS! I didn't know you were a musical fan. (If I paid more attention, possibly I would know such things). On a musical note, I am going to see Boy From Oz on Friday and I can't wait for my musical fix. It has been too long.
3. Stephen Fry. What a goddamn legend.

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 12:20 pm (UTC)(link)
1. *squee* It's so so so brilliant, I swear, and I WISH I could have seen it when I was in New York but woooeee, it was not to be. Oh well. :\ It's still fabulous. :P
2. I adore musicals. I'm not that huge a geek that I'd know all the obscure ones, mind, but I enjoy watching and listening to them when I stumble upon them. :P
3. *g* So I've gathered.

[identity profile] meniscus-lexie.livejournal.com 2006-08-18 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Musicals. I love most. My grandma always takes me to one every birthday or christmas, or you know, whenever. Plus the whole doing musical theatre since I was 7 keeps me in the loop.
Such a dramatic industry. And so bitchy. I LOVE IT!

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-19 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, really? That's so cool, I've only been conscious of onstage things, never anything behind the scenes.

[identity profile] ensemble.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm still waiting for my little brother to bug me about going to see Stormbreaker, so I have an excuse to go and stare at that Alex guy for an hour or so XD

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
/:) Clever girl, you are. Sadly, my brother's too old for that. :P

[identity profile] draconianangel.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently my 13-year-old cousin's (who is totally into High School Musical) no. 1 crush now is Alex Pettyfer. I watched the movie again, this time with my cousin, and yes, she reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally likes him. :|

*preens* Dude, I have so many stored scanlations in my laptop, I dunno which to upload for you first. Do you want Yamane Ayano's works (the one who created Viewfinder)? ;)

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-16 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, your cousin sounds like she's growing up to be a fangirl. ;)

*giggles* Yamane Ayano's are cool, thanks. :D And, hmm, I'm trying to remember what I read/saw. Couldyougivemesomethingwithstudentsplease? *dies*

[identity profile] draconianangel.livejournal.com 2006-08-17 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh Evy, if only the shipping cost will not kill me, I'd love to burn you CDs of the scanlations. ;D

OK, Yamane Ayano's then. OfcourseI'dlovetogiveyousomethingwithstudentsheeheehee.Howexplicitdoyouwantthemtobe? ;) Dude, you read Viewfinder... you know, the photographer and yakuza guy. :D (and BDSM, muahahahahaha!)

[identity profile] slumber.livejournal.com 2006-08-17 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
:)) That's alright. :P

Mwahahaha, ACTUALLY. Just anything good with students, and you know I don't mind explicit. ;) Hahaha, WELL, I DO remember that! How could I forget? *snickers* What I MEANT was that I didn't remember everything I saw, that's all. :|
