Sansa Stark, Day 2: A Stark by any other name

Um. Can we talk about how awesome that scene was? Shortly after Ned is beheaded, AFTER Sansa pleads for mercy and promises the prince that her father will confess, she is taken out to the spikes where the heads are displayed as warning to traitors. Then Joffrey makes her look.

Sansa does, after she gets backhanded for disobeying initially, and because she knows a reaction is what Joffrey wants, she does nothing. Looks right through the head of her father and asks Joffrey if they are done. I... kind of think she died that moment, but then Joffrey prattles on about how the spaces beside her father's head are reserved for her brothers, who have started to wage war on him.

"I'll bring you their heads for your name day," Joffrey tells her.

And this is where Sansa shows that she is still a Stark. She looks him in the eye and says, evenly: "Or maybe they'll bring me yours."

That was awesome. :|

I loved that scene. She definitely showed she was a Stark. If looks could kill, Joffrey would have been a pulverized mess!

The rest of the time, Sansa shows herself to be a Tully in the best of ways - strong, cunning, courteous, brave like her mother. That was truly a Stark line! I love Sansa. I've read your other posts about her and I agree with everything, basically. I'm annoyed at people judging her when she's only 11 and going through all this... Her reactions are very normal!
