please don't take my sunshine away
So back at the beginning of May, I, along with a few friends from high school, went on a short overnight trip to a place called Villa Escudero.

Talk about native Philippine countryside. This was, I kid you not, by the parking lot. Rice fields and a bamboo cart pulled by a carabao (or water bull, I think they're called) greeted us as soon as we stepped off our SUV.

This cart and carabao, to be exact. :P

Some of my friends. We took the carabao cart to the lobby and the cottages. The five-minute ride included SERENADING. One man played his guitar while a girl sang some distinctly provincial tune--it made us feel like we were in some old movie. :P

Yay carabao! :P

This is the porch of our cottage--good for seven people. See the hammock? I totally owned that hammock. Also, we had a riverside cottage, and the river was where people went bamboo rafting. (Of which there are no photos, I'm afraid, because I might have dropped my camera in the river, lol.)

This is the view from the restaurant where we have breakfast and dinner. That cottage on the left, the first one you see? THAT WAS OURS.

There were strange statues sitting around the place, so on our way to lunch, Ana and Ina decided to have a little fun. :|

And Bernie and Sel joined in.

Mmm, lunch!

HERE. Yes. Our lunch was HERE. We waded in the cool ankle-high water with that waterfall in the background. Seriously. How cool was that?
Hours later, when everyone else had gone, we decided to make use of the awesome backdrop and directed Ana, Ina, and Sel in some fashion shoot. Darlings, they were smoking hot, and it's sad that the photos are with Bernie right now, but I will post when I can! :P
Oh, and before I forget?

PeteWentz!Peter for the freakin' win!
PS. The vid is for Line, mostly, because she still won't watch Spiderman 3. :( (Love you still, though, really. :| :D)
