What I loved about the Pirates sequel was how they weren't afraid to change the characters a little, give them a bit more mess to work out. At World's End is messy, plot-wise, and that's totally fine for me. It's better than how single-mindedly emo Peter Parker is, or how single-mindedly afraid of a little propriety Shrek is. Sequels should move past the first movie's issues, and I hated, for instance, how Shrek insisted on staying in his swamp no matter what, but whatever. :|

So yes, props to them for that. And the effects. The effects were rather fantastic, although it amuses me how I wrinkled my nose and thought to myself, "Self, they're stretching it now. I wish they'd stuck to the semi-believable."

Only I remembered that the second movie had tentacled sea creatures who could not die, and the first had a cursed crew, and apparently I found those semi-believable. :|

Anyway. For those who have yet to see Pirates, though?

STAY AFTER THE CREDITS.

Just so you don't miss the epilogue. :|

OMFG I didn't stay long enough for the epilogue! I forgot! What happened, Evy!????!

Well, I like sequels that retain a sense of the first/second movie in them... so I was kinda irked at the overly complex plot. There came a time in the movie where I was watching it just for the visuals and not for the plot... thankfully, they nicely tied all the plotlines together in the end (what little of it I caught, haha). I really like the end, and how Elizabeth and Will didn't live happily ever after. Heh.

I still think PoTC 2 and 3 are ripped from One Piece, heehee. ;P

LOL, nothing much, it's totally missable. It's, like, a minute long and takes place ten years later.

Medyo ang labo nga ng story, pero okay lang, I mean. I kind of just waited until the end, hahaha.

I don't know anything about One Piece, oops. :P

Ugh, kelangan kong panoorin uli, huh? Pffft.

One Piece is that megahit crazy pirate anime from Japan. XD

OH OH OH. When Jack was leaving Elizabeth at the beach with the chest, and it was SUNSET and he'd be gone for TEN YEARS and back for ONE DAY and doing it again, it suddenly reminded me of Moki and I and I started sobbing.

I think you meant Will. :|

*cuddles* :\ Eventually, you won't have to wait so long, don't worry.

Yes, actually.

He may not act at all but oh I could shelter under his cheekbones.

Yeah, we had some time today for that though, so it was wonderful. :)

Haha, I loved Norrington. :'(

Ooh, yes, I read about it. :P I am fairly sure the next one won't be in ten years, so there's that to be thankful for. (It might, however, feel like ten years. :\ *snugs*)

stay after the credits for a 10 second long spiel after 15 minutes of credits... if you're that patient.

Peter Parker... the actor can't do witty, so they reel in all the fan girls with emo.

Haha you have to pity Will expects to get laid after 10 years and there's this not so little thing he has to spend time with competing with his getting laid time. :p
