Wonderfully structured; somehow the little "he chose" parallels at the beginning and end give it a cyclical feel, wrap it all up neatly. I ended up having to read it again, one-to-nineteen, because I wanted to get the full effect. When read backwards it's easy to see things, particularly his love of books, develop foundations and become more defined and grow. (Just wondering, did you write it beginning-to-end or end-to-beginning?)
I love good genfic so much, and it's so hard to find. Although I thought I saw some carefully veiled hints at Blaise/Theodore--that wasn't just wishful thinking, was it? Hee.
