Strange Childhood Beliefs
May. 19th, 2006 12:30 pmApparently there's a meme.
We're actually supposed to post ours in our LJ but I already commented. For the sake of participation, though, I'll put them up here too.
Strange Childhood Beliefs
I repeat: if there is a Neverland out there, my happy thoughts are ready, just hand over the pixie dust. :|

- I was only going to get my period once. :| The sex ed talks were all "This is what you do when it happens" and "It means you're a woman", not "YOU'RE SUFFERING THIS MONTHLY FOR THE REST OF YOUR REPRODUCTIVE LIFE."
Though I always DID wonder how pads got the money for advertising. :| - The naked transformation scenes in Sailormoon were pornographic. (Yet I watched it weekly.)
- Women didn't get pubic hair. Oh, how I despaired! (I resisted believing I had to shave well into my first razor purchase. :|)
- I can exit a portal in my room and drop right into an anime world. This idea was conceived of at the tender age of, oh, fourteen. :|
- Some day I'd die and they'd publish my diary like Anne Frank's, and I had better write something good. (I tried to make it dramatic, but it's just really funny now, and if I could find it, I really really want to burn it in case someone digs it out and publishes it just to shame me.)
- Added, because I like the number 7: I'm special enough to make a difference in the world. Oh, the idealisms of wide-eyed youth.
- Added: One day, I'll be able to get my 20/20 vision back. :| (I got glasses when I was eight.)
I repeat: if there is a Neverland out there, my happy thoughts are ready, just hand over the pixie dust. :|

Date: 2006-05-19 04:51 am (UTC)7. AHA! I know, I'm waiting until I'm old enough to pay for it myself and it's really more reliable, though one of my friends had laser surgery done and it's been good so far. I like my glasses though. :|

Date: 2006-05-19 08:15 pm (UTC)6. Good for you. I thought I'd do it by hosting a talk show, like Oprah. :))
7. Sad day, huh? One day I'll get enough money.
