I've gone right out and done it...
Nov. 20th, 2003 09:00 pmPopping by for a while to let you all know I'm still alive, but barely. Real life is KILLING me, and it's so bad to admit it, but I think it's because I'm insane and asked it to.
I've gone right out and done it.
1. Try to learn CSS - I've been assigned, along with a friend, to work on a website and ickle silly me proposed something that must be done through CSS, which I have no knowledge of. So now I'm trying to learn it because now that I have the idea in my head, I really want it done.
2. Committed my Saturday mornings to an extracurricular - I promised to train the students in my old high school after their performance in a recent tournament. They were bad and needed help. Unfortunately for them, I'm not the best one for the job, but I'm willing to give up Saturdays, which could be utilized for something else but isn't.
3. Written that Molly/Ray Uptown Girls slash - It's lying around in my hard drive somewhere. I am shocked, because femslash just isn't my genre, and chan is a guilty pleasure. But I can't remove the fact that I wrote it, finished it, and am quite happy because I finished it. And I realized something: drabbles are my calling. ;-P
And numerous other things. Today I promised to do my best to raise my GPA/QPI/GWA. Then I started dreaming of going to a Singapore program, and also applying for an internship when I can in some prestigious company, and training hard so that I can join upcoming tournaments for my org.
But let's take it one day at a time.
Tonight, I'm watching The Count of Monte Cristo.
Tomorrow night, I'm going to Vice Night and winning Best Rookie Player for Poker award if it kills me. (And since my schedule is utter crap, and my Math professor isn't coming to school tomorrow, which means my break time is from 830-230 and my classes are 7-830 and 230-530, I'll have plenty of time to practice. ;-P)
