Rediscovering my OTP in its OTP
Jan. 2nd, 2004 12:32 pmJudging for Nanashi, the Gundam Wing fanfiction contest, is over. I haven't been involved in that fandom for one, maybe two years now, and the contest is almost my only link to it. Anyway, it was because of my re-immersion into the GW fics that I rediscovered my One True Pair: Wufei/Duo.
See, the popular ships back then were Heero/Duo (the Harry/Draco of GW in terms of popularity), Trowa/Quatre (who are sort of like Remus/Sirius. It just *is*), and Wufei/No One or Wufei/Treize (which is like Harry/Lucius. I think.)
But not me. For once, I'm not in the bandwagon. In Gundam Wing my favorite ship has to be Wufei/Duo (although admittedly I did come from the Heero/Duo shipping), and I discovered a website solely for that ship, which is all well and good, because I wasn't really aware a website existed until Nanashi. :D
When I say rediscovering my OTP in its OTP, I mean One True Plot when I refer to the second OTP. I ship Wufei/Duo with a clear storyline in mind, involving hurt/comfort sometimes, past Heero/Duo, that sort of thing. (I know; it tends to be boring, but I just love the concept.)
And if Wufei were a real live person I'd marry him in a snap. :P

Oh, oh, oh! Have my Endless Nights! :) And the two other volumes! Lovely, lovely, I'll be finishing off Fables and Reflections later.
My dear mother also went about buying me clothes. Lots of them. More than what my brother, who was on the trip, and my aunt, also on the trip, bought for themselves. Combined. *rolls eyes* Sounds like I was on the trip instead of them.
But really. I suspect my mother is trying to sneak in her tastes again, and I have no clue why a mother would like to buy her daughter a fishnet sort of top, with the net being composed of small black beads, and a red halter top with sequins. I asked her for sleeveless white tops, that was all, and she got me wax paper translucent clothed ones. There were nice pants, and nice shoes, but the other clothes were just scary. o.O I don't know when she expects me to wear them, really.
