Six Hours
Yesterday, my free time was from 8:30am-2:30pm. I spent all of it studying Biology, for which I had a test on later that day. The professor came in and said the test he'd made was for Biology majors, which we weren't, so he decided he'd let us do a Problem-Based Learning thing instead, and assigned groups of five people to work on a paper (and acquire first-hand information) due on the last week of February.
I hate group work. It isn't so much the bad luck of ending up with lousy groupmates who don't do anything at all and depend everything on one person, because my groupmates seem fine. I just dislike all the planning and talking and time it'll take before the actual work is done. I dislike coordinating with anyone.
Fandom Scruples
I suppose that by now most of you are aware of the existence of
fandom_scruples, which
fandomquibbler alerted me to. Only a few things I'd like to point out:
1. Ourfandomissowanky.
2. They're listing down and basically linking to the fans whose works they want to bar children from seeing so easily. Anyone else find that weird and self-defeating?
I am bemused.
Fics and Movies
I have read Unbecoming, by Cinnamon, and am reading Windfallen, also by Cinnamon. Lovely. I like the weird triangle in Unbecoming. Terribly engrossing, though Ron cries too much.
Have seen both Return of the King and Kill Bill. Finally.
ROTK I have to watch a second time. Most of the time I was watching it my friend and I were giggling at the slashiness. (Merry: You're always looking, Pippin! Don't you understand? You have to go now.) Or that Legolas looked liuke he was Aragorn's bride. And Sam/Frodo. Is. Priceless.
Kill Bill was just really absolutely brilliant. Loved the sounds, and the visuals. The animated part was fantastic! Question, though. Why did Bill want The Bride dead to begin with? Hmm... ;P
