My friends in Malaysia are safe. :D I finally ~~had the guts~~ went to check my RL Gmail account to see if there was any news. There wasn't, but the last mail I got was from November 17, so I went to check the group page in Yahoo, where there was one email sent from today, and all it said was, "Had our lunch today. Can't tell anything about team standings yet because they separated adjudicators from debaters. Happy Christmas and Advanced Happy New Year!" *slumps* Well, that's good to know. I mean, if something had HAPPENED he'd have said, right? Right.

New Year's is upon us. ~~Woe.~~ ~~Yay.~~ Er.

There were men running down the street in front of our house today, and they were fighting. Perhaps they were drunk too. There were gunshots. o.O (But really, if they'd been drunk, then they must have had REALLY lousy aim and no one got hurt, right? Right.)

I keep forgetting to say, that Secret Santa fic I've been stressing over (sort of) for most of last week? Submitted it on the 24th. 1500 words borne of tears and blood and sweat, baby! :P It's horrid writing, but any more and I think I'll cry blood-tears.

I checked my list of ships today, the one I started out with months ago (February, actually. Hee) and promised to write fic for by the end of the year, and if I count drabbles, which I SHOULD and AM, because I don't know if I can write past a thousand words anymore (Tragedy, I know.) then I have most of them done and over with. Which is good, really, considering until October I'd only written seven ships out of twenty, and some of those were from 2003, so I'd only really written less than that in around nine months. Shameful.

Buuuut!! I just wrote down a Blaise/Padma drabble this afternoon (It was fic-length originally, but with my current, erm, drabble-love I tweaked the whole idea down to a hundred words.) and now I'm down to two ships yay! I just need prompts and/or ideas for them. I must write both by tomorrow OMG.

I also wrote Kill Bill fanfic. 500 words, but haha, it's really five drabbles. And it's femmeslash--why do all the non-HP fics I write end up being femmeslash? And I mean ALL of them. (I have also just written a Kim Possible fic.) Eeeeeeenteresting.

Actually, I have the teeniest idea for Draco/Zach (which is one of the ships) but I do believe I'm a bit stuck with Draco/Theodore and OMG speaking of Theodore I ship Harry/Theodore too, don't I? Blast it. Three drabbles, then.

I am bored. See my icon. See my mood. Look how it fits in with the orange goodness of my lay-out, which needs to be more interesting. Orange is the new blue, but that was two QaF seasons ago. What's the new orange?

Damn, I wish I could stay online past 8am, but as it is, well. I used up all of my brother's internet time. ACCIDENTALLY, but. Well. I am just realising how horrid a sister I am. Woe. :\

Also, Neil Gaiman is--I need a colourbar for him. I adore him to bits and I wish he'd write me a story, even something like The Wedding Present. Actually, I want something like that. He is so so so cool.

I watched Never Been Kissed again yesterday. David Arquette is cute, Jessica Alba is hot and Leelee Sobsomething is beautiful, but there is no way that scene in the baseball pitch could have taken place in real life. I think I want to watch Love Actually again, but, erm. I thought I was in the mood for Big Fish today but I want a light and decent romantic comedy. I wish I had Ten Things, I think I vaguely recall having liked that. Or Down With Love. I've no patience to watch something that will make me so painfully and consciously aware of time, is all. (So Casablanca and Sabrina are out.)
