screw you, fandom

Due to non-existent peer pressure (unless, of course, you count the subliminal messages masquerading as LJ entries inclusive of plenty of gushing, cut tags, fics, and even more gushing, which is ever-present in my flist), I bought the first season of Lost today along with a frilly pink skirt and about seven different tops and pink shoes and hmm. Between that and the first season of Firefly, which my friend lent me, I probably shouldn't have committed two weeks of my vacation to debate and going away. But anyway. If I ever get suckered into anything (and this is probably why I've not popped anything in yet), I'm blaming fandom.

Seriously, people. Why couldn't you just stick to Harry Potter? *despairs*
