alternatives to PayPal?
Dec. 26th, 2006 05:12 amThere are setbacks to NOT living in the US, or UK, or Australia, and one of these is the fact that PayPal only allows accounts from here (the Philippines, in case you didn't catch that before) to send money, but not to receive them.
Now I have this friend who has plush toys to sell. She makes them on a per-commission basis and pays incredible attention to detail, and she can do pretty much anything people request her to do. Everything's hand-made (No sewing machine to use at the moment) and the 3-inch plushies would go for about $20?
Of course, her current method of payment and delivery (which is through the good ole postal system) isn't working--half the time, the payment gets lost in the mail.
PayPal obviously doesn't work either, because it doesn't allow us to receive money.
So I was wondering if any of you know of any other method of payment that could work with her? Could payments made straight to bank accounts work, do you think? (She doesn't have one, but I'd be willing to set it up for her or something.) If so, which bank would best work? I'm not familiar with the banking system and these sorts of things but yeah, if anyone had any ideas? Help would be greatly, madly, entirely appreciated, thanks. :) ♥
LOLZ at the icon that's only slightly on-topic.
