On drawing

slumberSooooo I have been thinking, for Christmas I got a $100 Amazon gift card, and I could either spend that on Kindle books until it runs out, keep it in my account until I find something else later, orrrrr get a Wacom Bamboo Splash Pen Tablet for ~$65. It's supposed to be the "get started with art" model and is thus the cheapest of the product line.
I used to draw a bit before, but I don't really have much experience with digital art, except for that one time I tried coloring this. I'm not interested in entering fests as an artist, but I WOULD like to start drawing again, learn how to color in Photoshop, etc, at least as a hobby.
But is it a $65 hobby?
