No Christmas Spirit Here
Dec. 12th, 2004 05:00 amNobody please make me feel guilty. I know it's the season of giving but instead of Christmas shopping today I ended up indulging myself instead.
Haha, SO not getting anyone presents anymore. It's just - last year Christmas shopping put me in the MOOD, but I just don't feel like trying to get things for anyone because there's so many of them and I don't know who to give presents for and who's going to feel left out if I miss them or something, so as a general rule, there shall be no gift giving. Also, I don't have enough money - I spent almost all of it sending Christmas cards and packages. ;)
So today I told my aunt I was going shopping with friends, and I went with my brother to this area. He was dropped off in one mall and I was dropped off in another. Truth was, though, I didn't want to spend time with anyone at the moment, so I COMPLETELY made up the friends bit and just went by myself.
I could have gone to this other thing, but it meant I won't be able to shop and people will have kept ribbing me about this guy I liked for two months who was in Singapore but came back for that thing. As it is, they all texted me saying the same thing. "Hey! Reggie's here!" *grumblegrumble* I don't care anymore, honestly.
Anyway.
I watched Bridget Jones. OMG. *cracks up* I loved the "I spent the night with a gorgeous Thai girl, who later turned out to be a gorgeous Thai boy," and the whole bit with Rebecca! Good GOD I love Rebecca. *snickers* Then when Bridget realised, and there was that whole flashback bit, OH. *dies*
Then I left and went to the records store. Now, as some people can attest, I know shit about music. In a way that means I don't. BUT!! I bought Green Day and this other compilation, Almost Kinda Acoustic, which had Cannonball in it and that made it okay.
Then I ate at a Japanese restaurant because nobody ever craves for Japanese when I'm with them, and then wrote a drabble on a flyer.
Then I had more time to kill, so I went up to the video store and OMG they had a CHEAPER copy of Kill Bill Vol 1 *is watching right now* and The Princess Bride, which I've never seen and I feel like I'm missing out on somewhat. I do have the book, though, thanks to
irian. :D
So, yes. Two albums, two films, Bridget Jones, and Japanese food. I'm okay.
And anyway, I'm still giving you lot, mostly, Christmasy stuff.
Like, I've just posted a Zacharias/Seamus for
abilizersparkle. See? I'm not a total Grinch. Or Scrooge.
Also. Boulevard of Broken Dreams. *dies* It speaks to me. :|

And indulging yourself is a good thing too. One must take care of oneself in order to be able to take care of others.
