If you've ever requested a drabble from me either through the poll in which I got your addresses so I could send you cards or through that other post in which I askd for prompts, then you've a drabble/ficlet/fic waiting for you somewhere in
creativeslumber, in case you missed any of my posts telling you so. :P I made sure to write at least one for each person, and yay *dances around* I adore drabbles.
But anyway, because I'm a dork (and I even have an icon for it, lol), I've made a master list sort of thing here anyway. Click away to see where your gift drabble is.
I've written five drabbles that weren't for anyone specific, but yeah. And now that it's all over, I feel so... written out. *slumps* I want to write more but now there's nothing to write! Woe.
Although, I don't know. Reading the Introduction to Smoke and Mirrors kind of inspired me a bit. I adore Neil Gaiman so much, did you know? Ahh, love. XD
Didn't end up reading that, though. Went through Rainbow Boys and the first part of Lamb, the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal.
*wibbles about Rainbow Boys* I finished it this afternoon. I think I would have finished it sooner if I hadn't been readingmost some parts aloud and underlining things in pencil. Kyle is so much like SE!Terry it is INSANE.
"Kyle! When are you ever irresponsible?" (Nelson's screwed up REALLY horribly, life-or-deathish, can't say more because that would spoil, but trust me on this one.)
Kyle scrunched his eyebrows up, thinking. "Well, like when I forget to brush my teeth."
*facepalms*
*flails, also* Lissa! But I don't like Jason, even if he's nice and normal and what's wrong with Nelson? I--oh, oh, there was so much PAIN reading through it, I mean, real wrenching of the heart and stuff, and then I almost cried in the most ABSURD places I can't even remember which those were anymore and EEP WHY DID I NOT BUY RAINBOW HIGH? *flailflail*
And ooh, ooh, reading through Lamb, now. *giggles* Biff is adorable, and so is Joshua (ie, Jesus).
"Or a shepherd," I added quickly. "Being a shepherd seems easy. I went with Kaliel last week to tend his flock. The Law says that two must go with the flock to keep an abomination from happening. I can spot an abomination from fifty paces."
Maggie smiled. "And did you prevent any abomination?"
"Oh yes, I kept all of the abomination at bay while Kaliel played with his favorite sheep behind the bushes."
"Biff," Joshua said gravely, "that was the abomination you were supposed to prevent."
*dies*
I adore these books. <3

Date: 2004-12-26 12:56 pm (UTC)And really, it's not just the parallels, I think. I mean, they've known each other FOREVER and and and the bottom parts of the triangle must ALWAYS end up together. *flops* I don't know WHERE I'll find copies of Rainbow High here at ALL. *flails*

Date: 2004-12-27 09:28 am (UTC)And now I've nothing to write. *slumps* Hah. I bet your paragraph's the beginning of another award-winning essay. ;) I just write anyway, in the spirit of NaNo. *nods* Which I did not end up doing, but that's alright, because it still made me write. Happy holidays too! <3
Ack. I lovelovelove Neil Gaiman. I would do anything for him to write me a story. Like The Wedding Present, that was good. Scratch that. It was PERFECT. BRILLIANT. Yes.
