I am bored. Not in the mood to read anything, I just want to laze around and sleep, but my brother's already saying I'm living a pig's life (Buhay Baboy daw, wah.) so, eep. And I can't write if I'm not prompted, apparently. No matter how many times I listen to She Will Be Loved and Everything You Want.

Oh, right. Has anyone heard about the earthquake? I saw the illustration of the areas it's affected, and it includes Malaysia. I have friends who are in Malaysia right now, for a tournament. I don't know how they are, how strong the thing was in Malaysia. I don't think I want to know, not really. I'm sure they're alright, I mean, they should be, right? There's always disasters every time we go out of the country for tournaments (ie, almost missing the plane, almost getting arrested) but it always turns out alright, so this will too, right?

*siiiigh* There's something else but I keep forgetting what it is.

I did. It's ALL OVER the news.

I have an aunt in Sri Lanka, but she said all she felt was a tremor. The tsunami on Sumatra was pretty devastating as well.

When I think of how close the Philippines is from Indonesia, I shudder.

it seems we're all beef-related, though why I have to be the disease and you all seem to be yummy steaks...

Anyway, the earthquake/tsunami was really awful along the coast of the Indian Ocean, especially in Sumatra and Sri Lanka - so far they've counted about 44,000 dead and they expect that number will continue to increase as they re-open communications with some of the outlying islands. They've got pictures and descriptions on all the news websites - MSNBC has loads of information and they update frequently.

It was quite scary - I've got a school friend who lives in Sri Lanka and I spent all day yesterday wondering if he was ok. He managed to log onto AIM and got kicked right back off, but I'm going to assume that means he's alive and has electricity and all that so hopefully he's alright.

I think most of Malaysia's fine, especially if that tournament was just in KL, since I have some friends there and they're both fine. One didn't even realise there had been an earthquake at all.

Tsunami was scary. Stayed up all night watching and at first they said 6 thousand. Then you wake up and it's twenty. Then before bed it reaches 59 thousand and GOD IT'S SO- terrifying.
