End/Start of Year Babble
Jan. 1st, 2005 02:53 amI wish my parents weren't fanatic Church-goers. We went to Mass yesterday night at 10pm and we'll be going to Mass again at 10am so I must SLEEP because WOE PIMPLES and how can I be hot if I have pimples named Kevin on my face? *grooooans*
Have finished reading Lamb. Oh, wow. Weird in some places, funny in some, philosophical in others. I am having trouble thinking of anyone in real life who might appreciate it.
Have finished writing down drabbles for all the ships I ship, with five minutes to spare before January 1. Am very proud. Shall post them all soon, but trust that they have been written.
Replied to everyone in my anon meme. Still going on, if you want to tell me anything. :P
My friend sent me this link and said it was SOOOOOOOO me. It is SOOOOOOOO you too. (Tidus=Harry, Auron=Draco, Square-Enixorwhatever=JKR)
People must post on this meme. I'd hate to think there's more hate in this fandom than lust because REALLY.Besides, I was mentioned twice.
Right.
New Year's Resolutions:
01. Less spam.
02. More study.
03. More sleep.
04. More fic.
05. Try writing something original.
06. Read more.
07. Concentrate.
08. Clean room.
09. Work harder.
10. Get to know more people.
I wish there were something I can say to truly mark the end of the last year and the beginning of this one, butI'm currently talking to Raphie and S and can't be bothered with being profound at a loss for words.
As always with every year's end, I feel infinitely different from whoever I remember starting out as. I can't remember things as they happen by time but I do know this has been one great big chapter of self-discovery, but don't I always feel the same at every year's end? There's always some revelation about who I am, what the world is, and I suppose there always will be. And I guess to some extent it's nice, always finding something new, but it's also a bit daunting.
You know what, though? I find it insanely hard to believe that in a small chunk of this year, I've found some really incredible people, to go along with the other wonderful people I've met a little over a year ago. *much love upon* I adore everyone I've become close friends with, and I do want to get to know more of you this coming year.
Happy New Year's, everyone!
