I've read the first 20 pages or so of The Golem's Eye, but stopped to read the first 3 ASOUE books. Is the book as good as The Aumlet of Samarkand for you so far?

I still madly adore Bartimaeus. :P

Ah, Bartimeaus is the highlight of the books. Do you ever catch yourself scanning the next page to see if it's a Nathaniel/John or Bartimeaus chapter, hoping to see it's a Bartimeaus one? I always feel bad doing that, as Nathaniel is a good character too, but...you know...Bartimeaus is teh man. Or Djinn. You know what I mean >.
