Weekend of Whee
Feb. 7th, 2005 04:48 pmSave for the horrible incident last Friday in which I saw someone I'd not wanted to see in The Last Place I Expected Myself to Be, and the bit early this morning when LJ ate up my post, last weekend was actually quite fun. I was out the whole day Saturday even though the only place I had to be in was class from 10-12 (it was canceled, by the way)--long story involving sneaking out, parents thinking I should be in some sort of conference, etc. I didn't actually KNOW what I'd end up doing for the day, until I talked a friend into watching A Very Long Engagement with me around 11am.
I am a Rebel Without A Cause, clearly.
SO ANYWAY. Saw the trailer for Alfie, also. Mmmmnearlydied. Between that, seeing the trailer for Closer, hearing Jude Law's voice narrate A Series of Unfortunate Events for me, and One Extra Hot Jealous Post by SE!Blaise (played by Jude Law, naturally), I think I've died and gone straight to heaven. TO BE CERTAIN, though, I went out and bought a copy of The Talented Mr Ripley, which I'd never seen yet, that very day. (It was on SALE, too, for just a little bit more than what my friend and I paid for the movie. How COOL is that? XD)
Now, as SE's been quite the distraction, I haven't actually SEEN Mr Ripley yet, but, well. I suspect I've had my dose of Jude Law to last me for quite some time.
AND THEN ON SUNDAY, I went to
jaig's school fair, where we proceeded to ride the octopus (AHA! That's probably why my neck hurts now, maybe. Haha, I had to hold my head down to keep my neck from being snapped by the sudden movements, it was terribly fun), get 'arrested', and stay in their class's booth--a lounge, always my favourite sort of booth in these things. Also. Mmmboys. *giggles* Sososopretty. *looks dolefully at university's boys* It's really quite sad that they don't end up going to my uni and instead head on over to the one 'across the street', lol.
OH! And
ccharlotte is refining my musical tastes. *giggles* Thanks, Liney One. MmmCaramel. *pets growing music collection* I must burn these on CDs soon. Erk. Might require a flash drive.
HAHAHA. Am crazy and insane, I swear. I just--well, it's for a good cause. :|
Something else, something else.
MY BROTHER AND HIS GIRLFRIEND ARE FLIIIIIIRTING ON THE PHONE. TCH. No, really. The Big Sister in me is torn between being all squeeful and stuff as it's cute how he's going through the cliched sort of relationship I saw and observed throughout high school (Meet in some interaction, text a bit, talk on Y!M, call each other 'best friends' when it's obviously covered up infatuation, take each other to school prom, etcetera), and on the other hand I think it's all a bit shallow, but who am I to judge anyone's feelings? I'm just bitter, lol.
He just knocked on my door and told me his girl was asking me if I loved him. *shakes head* He's my brother, yes I do, despite, uh, sneaking his internet cards and using them and stuff. I GAVE HIM A SPIDERMAN POSTER FOR CHRISTMAS, ALRIGHT?
AND FINALLY. I have FIFTY Gmail invites in one of my accounts. DO YOUR GRANDMOTHERSNEED WANT ANY?
