In an interesting development...

I logged onto Y!M just a while ago, and you know how I've always had a window that said my version of Y!M was not updated and maybe I should update it and I always click no? Well, you might not know, because I'm the only one in the world left with an unupdated version of Y!M, because something in my laptop keeps me from installing messenger services ever since I got it, and it's only a small blessing that old!Y!M was already installed.

Anyway, yes, the point.

I logged onto Y!M just a while ago, and the little pop-up window now reads, and I quote verbatim:

We strongly recommend you update your Yahoo! Messenger
as we are discontinuing support for this version.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Do you want to update now?

I'm not sure when Y!M discontinues service, but I've no idea how to install the new version because I've tried and I just can't, so this probably means bye-bye.

I call this deus ex machina.

Those little messages are so annoying.

But... that kinda sucks. Maybe... try over and over again. :D I'm no help at all...

I thought I had it when I downloaded the installer package, but then I tried installing it, over and over. No use, unfortunately, but thanks for the help.
