You are a great friend, however, you have a tendency to push people who care away and that causes them to wonder if their friendship and help really mattered or was appreciated.

No matter how I act or what I do or say, I love my friends and always will. I don't think I could live without them. They keep me sane. So yes, their friendship and help matter, and was certainly appreciated.

That may be true, but you do push them away. Whether it be because of your own insecurities or whatnot, you do do that. I for one tried to help and feel as if that was thrown back in my face.
