I'm on your flist and we've talked a few times. You seem really cool and I'd like to know you better but I'm shy, I'm not sure you like me as much as I like you, and I feel like I don't have the time to invest in trying to make you like me. Which sounds awful, now that I write it out.

That's not awful, it's very honest. If we've talked outside of LJ and have had less than stellar conversations it's likely because I don't have the best conversationalist skills. I'm not good at the small-talk thing. I like to have people IM me but I don't know how to make the conversation keep going without some common ground. I'm not sure if you'll ever see this but I would like to keep trying!
