slumber: (have in me a little faith)
[personal profile] slumber
I'm not sure whether [livejournal.com profile] crucio plans to put up Part 2, but for all of you who had unfinished business, a lack of comments, and so on: Consider this the Remix. :|

Post your username, link to it, and have someone tell you what they REALLY think about you. Anon is on, IP is off.

(And if [livejournal.com profile] crucio wants me to take this down, I shall.)

Credit, clearly, to [livejournal.com profile] crucio, who credited [livejournal.com profile] anaphoric.

Pimp it, baby.

eta: Mine, and. *turns off comments* :|

Since comment notifications have been spotty and it's been a while since you posted linkage, I don't know if you'll see this but I'm doing it anyway. (It's also entirely likely that you'll know who wrote this but it's nothing I wouldn't say to you with my name attached.)

You're incredible and brilliant and wonderful. You have this beautiful old soul that shines through everything you do and say. I want you to be happy. I want you to be loved. I want you to know that you're all those wonderful things and that you deserve wonderful things but I know that you'll always doubt them even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

Sometimes I worry about you. I'm afraid that in your quest for a comfortable world, that you'll deny your potential, turn away from your unique view or at the very least camouflage it in order to better fit in with the rest of the world. There is so much normal in the world today, so much pressure to be, think, feel, act normally and it can be so hard to shine brightly in the face of overwhelming disapproval. People tend to shun the extraordinary because it makes them more keenly aware of their own shortcomings and that can make it hurt, literally, to be extraordinary. It can be a burden but it's one that I believe you're up to carrying and hope, with all my heart, that you continue to.
