slumberIf any of my flist remembered my post about the gay sheep experiments and PETA's petition, then I have to point your attention to this article, which is basically from the doctor's point of view, and which alleges that PETA has been lying.
I link because I am guilty--I received the email and read the letter and, though the method of protest and the organization involved was PETA, I let myself believe everything I read and I allowed myself to be a tool for harassment. I did not try to get the full story, and I helped spread a one-sided viewpoint regarding the whole thing. Not only was I quick to jump to conclusions, considering that I'd once before preached about being wary of everything you read online, I was also pretty hypocritical.
I'm rather not sure which side to believe in now, but what I do know is that there is another side to the story, and I should have sought it out, and I should have at least made my decision based on what both sides had to say. I should not have rashly acted on impulse and I should not have allowed myself to be affected so quickly and so emotionally by what I read first.
And I'm sorry that, in linking my flist to it, I helped spread the one-sidedness. Hopefully this rectifies things somehow.
