for the sake of it

slumberI am updating for the sake of my calendar. Which also explains why I'm using a different timezone. :|
Our feasibility study, which is not only a project but pretty much a whole SUBJECT, is due in a few hours. We need to have everything printed by ten so we can have it bookbound and ready by three with just enough leeway time for the five o'clock deadline.
About thirty minutes ago my groupmate's laptop, an Acer Travelmate C110, which has about 2/3 of the study, decides to give us the Blue Screen of Death. There is, apparently, a missing or corrupted file and the only way to fix it is to use the Win XP CD, which is two hours away in her house, on a CD drive that doesn't even work because a cable's cut off inside.
She's downloaded some of the unedited stuff she emailed me last weekend and is going to work in her boarding house ten minutes away.
Oh, and in another subject, our group got the highest grade for the paper. THAT one we did for only a day, and, you know, now we've got to kick ass on finals to win the thing. There's prize money involved and for a class project, that's really rather brilliant.
Life goes on.
