slumber: (what's it all about?)

Grey's Anatomy has put me in a mood. :| The kind that's a bit existentialist and thoughtful and, hmm. We've all been asked this question once or twice in the past, but I'm curious.

If you knew this was going to be the last day of your life, how would you spend it?

And, more interestingly, why haven't you done it yet?

I'd- freak out. Do something crazy. Say goodbye to everyone and take a trip to Hong Kong and walk around and say hi to- gosh.

You know what, thinking about this, 24 hours will never be enough.

Nope, maybe that's because we put off everything we want to do until we don't have time to do it anymore?

Interestingly, I might spend the entire day denying death, but if I don't get to that, I'll probably end up whipping up a goodbye journal entry (this has always been a problem for me - the thought of operating some sort of blog death insurance has always been... enticing but complicated).

Obviously, you can't pre-write your death entry because that would mean knowing the conditions of your death/pre-death.

I am over-rationalising. All I know is I'll drink all the royal milk tea I want and make sure that in my wake, I get to wear a tiara.

You'll blog from beyond the grave if you could. :|

There was royal milk tea in Fuzion, I just remembered.

There are only two hours thirteen minutes of it left anyway, and I'd probably spend it like I spent it. I ate a good brownie. I basked in the admiration of my superiors and the respect of my peers for a bit. I tried not to cry a bit. I read and wrote and felt and lived poetry. I walked like my muscles were frozen, like I always do, like I always walk. I'm going in twelve minutes to watch Scrubs. I like Scrubs.

It isn't much, but I guess it makes a life, and why shouldn't the last day be reflective of those that came before?

*g* That's true, I suppose, but I think that's the kind of last day that people who've lived their lives the way they want to will have. Which is always a good thing. :D
