I am using my spazzy icon, as this is a spazzy sort of entry. Sort of. :|
Anyway. Ah, the things you learn when you're faffing off work.*weeps* Next week, I swear, I swear I'll get something done. Also, you have to cut me some slack for the length, because it is lengthy. :| But I've not posted in a while!
AND. Look at the shiny!
The Apple iPhone

Find more details here. Expect it around I don't know when. :|
[Poll #879357]
Personally, I love my current phone, the Motorola RAZR V3x, which isn't as, pardon the pun, razor-thin as the first one, but actually works fine. And looks like a car. :| And I really have love for clam-shells and slide phones don't appeal much to me.
Also, while I love technology, I think I will wait for the day when integration of two different functions does not equal to compromising performance on either. I doubt this iPhone will hold 80 gigs of music, for instance, the same way that the current N-series from Nokia don't have excellent camera/video features yet. Granted, for a phone, 3mp is good, but if Nokia plans to enter the videocam market as well then it should probably do better than that, and I have no doubt it will, but. That will take some time to develop, and I shall wait until then. The same principle applies to combination phones and iPods.
For now I have a 60gig video iPod, a phone capable of 3G technology (although the only one I can video-call is my brother, who is in the next room and whose face I don't particularly want to see often, lolol), and a 4MP camera (that I use for vile, vile, VILE purposes. Really. I shouldn't own it. *snickers*). I'm not combining all three in exchange for a semi-decent iPod, high-tech phone, and a 3MP camera, should that come along, that's all. :|
The New Mac Ads
[Error: unknown template video]
Speaking of Apple, have you seen their new ads? (In case the embedding doesn't work, by the way, as I wanted a poll and a video in one entry and for some reason LJ has trouble doing that in one easy step :|, try this link.)
I have so much adoration for Hodgman. So much that Apple should probably think of removing him as the PC guy and replacing Justin Long with someone more adorable.
Witty Graffiti
I know not a lot of people will understand the site linked, but for the Pinoys on my list, particularly
jaig,
miss_charmed, and
inquibbler, I think you'll especially appreciate the link. :|
These are various graffiti found all over my university, and I'm posting the bits that don't need knowledge of a second language to understand:
Behind some chairs:
"push button to eject seatmate"
"push button to eject urself"
"push button to kill teacher."
"push button to eject teacher"
"It’s jammed! We’re doomed!"
Chem chair:
"push button to spray acid on prof’s face."
Another chem chair:
"You Boron!!!"
3rd floor Math Building, behind a chair:
"you’ll NEVER find what you’re looking for"
Below it, in reply:
"find x."
In the dormitory:
"God is dead" - Nietzsche
Reply:
"Nietzsche is dead!" -God.
Random Ad/Poster Around Campus:
"I need a English tutor."
Written in pen below it:
"Badly."
K-solo
Don't ask me why because I'm not so sure myself, but hey, will you look at that, I've signed up for an online karaoke site. Which. Basically. Lets you sing karaoke in front of your computer. :| Their song collection doesn't seem all that much and I think it tends to lean to older songs more, like karaoke favourites or something, and I guess that's to be expected. There are sadly no Filipino artists which is a lost opportunity, because people love karaoke here (although, admittedly, most are coaxed into it only after a drink or two) and the songs that are best for karaoke are the ones in Filipino. (Especially since they have that kanto boy feel, ie, it most simulates drunken men singing loudly in the wee hours of dawn.)
So I've signed up, and can't hold a tune. I like my dad's magic mic so much better. :|
The thing with this one though, is after you download their recorder, you can choose to plug in a mic and record yourself singing a song for either public or private listening.
Funky.
The Inside Joke
And this link is especially amusing--to a select few, I suppose--if only because it is the comic strip for this day.
The Search for the Best Blogging Service Continues
I really appreciate the flexibility that Livejournal offers in terms of layout and friends-viewing settings, as well as the multiple benefits it offers paid users (of which I will soon cease to be, but that's alright). I love how GreatestJournal offers most of these for free. And I am a fan of how Vox allows users to integrate audio, video, and various media idiot-proofly.
But is there no one blogging service out there that would let me post a poll and embed a video in one entry without need for taking numerous, redundant steps?
Also, I want the pretty. :|
The End
AND I MUST GO TO DINNER. WE HAVE PIZZA AND PASTA YAY.
