Bad Day Thursday

I never could get the hang of Thursdays.

Right, so. In the interest of worldwide social phenomena, as mijan wondered about in her last entry, I would like to know just how many people are having bad days today (Or, well, in the last few days, at least, just most of them culminating today). As I'm basically from the future, let me start with me and my friends:

• Moi: Reformatted my laptop, found out the net still refused to work, spent money on a wireless router, wasted the whole evening configuring everything and re-installing all my old programs, and as I was in the middle of writing a paper due that day, the power went out. Helpless, I napped for two hours, woke up to find the power back on, finished the paper and began working on the other, also due that day. And yes, the power went out again. I finished the paper at school, looked for a place to print it, and found I saved it wrongly, because MS Word 2007 files need to be saved as MS 97-03 docs in order for them to be opened by 97-03 versions. I also left my cellphone at home today.==
  
  
• L: Running for Vice Chair of the whole student government, found out today she had to pull in 600 more votes in order to win. She's a good girl, but she's in the wrong party. There IS no right party.
  
  
• N: Her brother stole the family Pajero and eloped. Again. With his depressive girlfriend. Two months before graduating high school.
  
  
• J: Jogs, plays frisbee, climbs walls. Last Tuesday she caught a cold, yesterday she lost her voice, and today she sprained her ankle. While walking down the stairs.

There's more than that, but I don't feel right discussing everything here. In any case, you see the point. :|

SO TELL ME. How has your day (or anyone else you know, for that matter) sucked? Usually I hate being so negative, but. Let's make a list. :| (A list DOES exist, right? The universe IS doing this to more than just the people I know? :|)

I too have had a sucky day. I had a massive fight with my landlord, wherein the guy actually threatened me and yeah, other crap stuff too.

Oooh, cool. :D Today IS much better--I was able to do a huge chunk of the errand my friend is paying me to do in just under an hour, I MAY yet get my transcript on time, AND I had a slice of strawberry cheesecake for dinner. :P Hurrah for Fridays!

Well I got woken up at 4.30am, tho after a while (& seeing my parents off) I did get more sleep. But its been a lazy, sleepy, heahachey day for me. Not in the good ways either. Then I just went out with some friends who are too stupid to split bills at the cafe properly, so I ended up paying $15 for what should have been less than $10 from me. And had to put up with one of them saying how poor she was after spending $40+ on cosmetics.

It's amusing at work, because she's six foot and good friends with five-foot-tall twins. And they stand next to each other. It's like... me standing next to you!! JAY KAY EL OH EL.

I think I should become a nun. Men are more trouble than they're worth.

I have had a string of annoying days lately, all revolving around the wanky drama fest that is my job. Between being patronised by my less-than-intelligent supervisor, having to train all four of the people I supervise to do new jobs (which all but one of them are having trouble with) and then having to pick up their slack, and then one of said people thinks she knows how to do my job better than I do and keeps trying to go behind my back to my supervisor and undermine my authority and aldjlkf. Work is crap. :|

Annnd yes, I have been internet-less. Mainly borrowing my brother's computer when I can and not regularly enough so I put AA off until then. :\ But! But I can do Myrtle now, as I've got the net back on, clearly, starting on the weekend, when I've done fixing up my laptop. (I'm sorry. :\)

my day was fantastic, sorry. :| we made a giant snowman in sefton park and then had a giant snowball fight. EXCELLENCE. the pictures are just about to find their way onto facebook. ahem, sorry. :|

YES, thank god. I still have to figure out what to do with my virus-infected external hard drive, though, as all my files are in there. :|
