Summary: The seventh years take it to a referendum.
Additional Notes: Randomly, I was posting on the Good Ship thread and they told us to open the dictionary and get a word and relate it to R/Hr, and this is what I came up with.
The batch of seventh year Hogwarts students finally took it to a referendum, and the vote came out in favour of the proposal, 3 to 1 on average, but only because the Slytherins felt it imperative to disagree, and the responsibility of announcing the results had fallen upon Harry.
He approached the corner of the Gryffindor table amid curious eyes, and cleared his throat to attract the attention of Ron and Hermione, who were both sniping at each other from under their breaths.
"Yes?" Hermione lifted her head to look at Harry curiously. Ron followed her lead.
"The Majority of Seventh Year Students have come to a decision."
"Oh, if this is about more Hogsmeade weekends, Harry, we really can't--"
"Hey, yes we can! You just don't want it to interfere with revising for NEWTs and--"
"Honestly, Ronald Weasley, if you think for one second--"
"Right, and this is because--"
"GUYS."
"What, Harry?" They said in unison, turning heated faces back at Harry.
"Get a room."

"This is-- I mean, yes, well, this is, dammit what's the word?" Ron muttered to himself, glancing up in panic at Pansy's face, which loomed closer and closer, so close he could see the evil gleam (and yes, it did actually gleam, when the light hit it so) in her eye.
"Yes, Weasley?" she asked, voice dripping with honey.
"Demoralising!" Ron blurted out, because all he could think of as Pansy's fingers grasped his shirt and as her other hand trailed teasingly down his arm was that it could not possibly be moral, and if it was not moral then what she was doing was, well, demoralising, surely.
Immoralising, then?
Pansy giggled like a schoolgirl, which she was, but Ron was quite certain schoolgirls held more innocence than Pansy did, and she stood on tiptoe and leaned to his ear and Ron could feel her lips curl into that evil grin that probably made the Sorting Hat's decision then and there (if the Sorting Hat had been able to see at all, anyway), and he could have squeaked in terror and panic but he was too busy trying hard not to, well, try hard. And it was quite suddenly very warm everywhere, too.
"I think," Pansy whispered slowly, her bottom lip brushing softly against Ron's earlobe as her fingers loosened their hold on his shirt and roamed further up to play with his tie, "that the word you're looking for is corrupting, actually."
Corrupting. Yes, that's the word.
Ron panicked.
