the longest move

slumberI have moved from my dorm to an apartment! \o/ And because I'm a cheapskate, I moved everything myself (nearly everything-- my roommate helped lug an extra luggage bag for one trip, and I took a cab to move my desk and my mini-fridge) so I've been moving since May 10.
Well, not really. I moved stuff around for a few days, and today I got the last of my stuff from the dorm and now I can rightly say that I have ~officially~ moved.
And my apartment is made of so much ~WIN~!
Exhibit A. The View

Exhibit C. Desk = $100. Chair = $8. Hooks = $7.99. Evy's Littlest Nook = Priceless.
Exhibit D. Have you met Phil? Phil is my speaker. (Not to be confused with Phil, my boss. :|)
Exhibit E. Behold my bookcase. And my fridge, and currently nearly empty makeshift pantry. THEY LOOK SO NEAT. And yes, nearly all these books I bought here. :\
Exhibit F. Don't tell me that's not the hottest bed ever, because it is the hottest bed ever.
Exhibit G. We also have the cutest shower curtain ever.
Exhibit H. This shower curtain is so cute it makes me want to wear pigtails, a skirt, knee-high socks, and speak in Japanese. Hai, kawaii desu! ^_~
Exhibit I. And just because: behold, my ~television~.
I would show you my kitchen but that's even more boring than this. :| But yes. Suffice to say, I am very very pleased.

Date: 2008-05-21 12:15 pm (UTC)I use similar shelving units for my closet as well, but only because there was only 1 stock of this type at the store. They only make 6 cubes, technically, but you can stretch them to 10 and a half, which is what I did. The hooks are by 3M and there are lots of them wherever you go here. I've bought them at Target and at CVS, at least. Walmart will have them, I think.
Where is Brandeis, btw? You must show pictures too, when you get there! :D
