slumberHello again, and welcome to part 2 of my 7-part pimping of the Chicago Blackhawks. (Hey, it's almost Valentine's Day and they deserve some love!)
This post will be a little bit shorter than yesterday's, SO GO AHEAD AND CLICK. :D:D:D

>> Was born 1986, same year as me, so he's actually a bit older than either Toews or Kane, but he's a rookie who played in the minors before the Blackhawks picked him up
>> Currently leading rookies in points (Not sure if it's in goals; probably not) but it DOES make the chances of the Blackhawks getting a second Calder Trophy in a row VERY high
>> Loves Short-Handed Goals. LOVES THEM. Short-handed goals are basically the goals you get when one of your team is in the penalty box and you're trying to fend off opponents from your net. You're only supposed to KILL the penalty, but scoring while you're at it? Makes the penalty even sweeter.
>> Kris Versteeg here LOVES SHORT-HANDED GOALS. Like, seriously? He's played about 40-50 games for the Blackhawks, and he broke the friggin' record that any Blackhawk has ever held for short-handed goals.
>> Jesus, that's not even a FULL season.
>> Was selected to play for the YoungStars, which is basically a mini-game that they have between rookies and sophomores in the All Star break, and he would have played too, except he broke his pinky. DYING I CANNOT EVEN MAKE THIS UP.

>> Was also born 1986, but is a sophomore
>> I feel he is underappreciated in the team and overshadowed by Kane and Toews, but he is pretty talented!
>> In fact, he's been pretty solid in the last few games when the main scorers of the team haven't, and this is one of the reasons why I just adore this team as a whole. They pull their weight where others are lacking, and it shows in how they play, even through crappy games.
>> Was selected to play for the YoungStars at the All Star Games when one of the sophomores backed out, and skdfjkl;djfakf;a LOOK HOW SWEET HE IS.

Versteeg: When I get out there, and I'm playing there against Bolland, I don't even think he'll make it past the first shift. Being out here with Bollie, I think it's pretty special, even though I don't like him very much. Just dealing with Bollie on a day-to-day basis is painful but I'll get by, just--
Bolland: *says something unintelligible from beside Versteeg*
Versteeg: What? I don't love you.
Bolland: I love you! You said we were BFFs.
Versteeg: Okay. *turns to interviewer* We're not BFFs. We're not BFFs. *turns to Bolland, who is insisting that they are indeed BFFs* We are not BFFs! *turns back to camera* We are NOT BFFs!
