...but I think I'm rooting for Ten in this one. Come on, guys, please vote for him? ALSO, JON STEWART. :DKLJD:LAS:LAJSL HOW IS HE LOSING IN THIS ROUND??? TO CHANDLER BING??????

Also, um, remember when I nearly backed out of Azkatraz to go to the Blackhawks convention instead? Well, between Wizziekins being traded and the email I received last night, guess I'll be going after all.

I sent in three programming proposals (in the hopes that perhaps one of them would get picked up), and. Uh. All three of them are now approved? They're not shippy at all, but I hope if you're going to Azkatraz, you'll still consider coming to one of my roundtables for moral support and also because how sad would it be if no one showed up?

One of them will basically be a fangirling session for Blaise Zabini (hey, they asked for minor characters :|), another will be about the post-Hogwarts world and how, like, everything went from there to the epilogue (like, what happened to the remaining DEs? The Slytherins? Who was in charge and how did they make sure no one would do a Voldemort again, etc), and the third is about writing magic in Harry Potter (sort of inspired by this) considering all the weird inconsistencies that JKR seems to have created.

And and and. If you DO want to go and are interested and whatever, I'd appreciate it if you could give me, like, suggestions/ideas for what you'd like to discuss about particularly. Thanks! ♥

Jared Padalecki, the actor who played Dean on Gilmore Girls? Is Sam on SPN. Dean, confusingly enough, is the other one. I am a little disgusted that I am promulgating SPN-related information.

I miss Spike. Thank heavens for Captain John Hart.

LOL.

Mmmm, yes, my thoughts exactly. I love how John Hart was like. Almost an homage to Spike. It was great. Upside to having a fanboy produce a show.

John Hart is Spike reincarnated with darker hair, a less cool jacket, and a wristband. Oh, and poison lipgloss.

Also now I sort of want to start an Unpopular Fandom Opinions meme.

Mine would be: "I did not enjoy Watchmen."

I haven't seen it yet. I probably will eventually, because I like Billy Crudup a lot (ever seen Stage Beauty? He was a revelation in that movie). But then again, movies I say I'll "see eventually"... tend to not get seen.

I watched it because I love comic adaptations in its style (like Sin City and 300 and even V for Vendetta, though that was a little less of a visual feast than the first two) and in that regard, I wasn't disappointed. It was just-- I don't know. I guess I didn't like the story as much as I thought I would? (Haven't seen Stage Beauty, and. Um. Billy Crudup wasn't in most of the film-- or he was, but as a naked blue guy. :|)

I've seen none of those three. Shrug.

Haha, yeah, I know he only lent the voice and the motion capture, but still. And, I cannot recommend Stage Beauty highly enough! He plays an actor famed for his Desdemona and called 'the most beautiful woman on the English stage' right when it's made legal for women to act in theatre. And it's go a lot of interesting ideas about gender and sexuality and art all wrapped up in a good story and a lovely romance with an awesome cast. There's a scene from Othello near the end that's breathtaking. It's also got Claire Danes and Rupert Everett.

They're not for everyone.

I IMDBed it when you mentioned it, because I haven't heard of it (and by extension, have thus never seen it), haha. It sounds interesting, though I might have to put off checking it out til after this semester, urgh schoolwork.

Not like the DVD is going anywhere. It's worth watching, if you like a good thought-provoking drama.

Yeah, I'll wait til summer. The problem with me and movie-watching during the schoolyear is that I just get so tired of having to think that I tend to prefer the mindless fluff. :\
