So I don't really follow any news about the movies AT ALL, just kind of figured anything big enough might make it to my flist one way or another, but that's the problem with being interested in things that very few people on the flist are interested in.
Like Astoria Greengrass. Who has apparently been cast as early as... what, June of last year?

Best part: She's Tom Felton's ACTUALFAX RL GIRLFRIEND. Which, okay, to me says it was probably a throwaway casting decision, like the first director when he went "Oh, I think my daughter shall play Susan Bones, because who cares about Susan Bones, right?"
But I'm happy with the decision, actually. I don't like the hair, but they're obviously trying to evoke upper class or something, but I'm just pleased because she doesn't stray too far from my idea of Astoria, who is basically this lady here, so yay.
It's kind of like finding out, after six Hogwarts years of debate, that Blaise Zabini is male and not female.
Mind, had Astoria looked different from what I'd imagined, I'd probably just go ahead and ignore movie canon. But it's nice to not have to go that extra step, haha.
