It's completely new but it sounds pretty promising, based on the profile info, because it's not just about sorting or anything-- of all the fandoms, I'd say THG is probably one that's ridiculously appropriate for a landcomm. There will be "games" that'll have one volunteer and one drawn tribute from each district competing. It'll operate like a LIMS thing, and the Sorting is different because it plays on the whole idea that the Capitol is in control all the time. They make the final decisions but District mayors can try to bribe them with coin earned from activities. IDK IT JUST SOUNDS SUPER INTERESTING OKAY?

But there aren't a lot of people yet, so it's not quite where it could be for the concept to work, I don't think. So you should consider joining (and tell them I sent you, there's no ~referral program yet but there could be!) and sign right up especially if you're into The Hunger Games.

Honestly I manifest fandom by reading or writing fic for it, lol. I'm not even really involved in THG fandom besides this comm, and for this particular one I expect there'll be ~contests~ of the graphic and written nature that revolve around THG? You get "sorted" into a sub-group and then it's like a competition.

YOU KNOW HOCKEY COULD PROBABLY USE A LANDCOMM. There can be seasons and pseudo-champions at the end based on how many points were earned per ~team~ lol idek.

oh man this sounds like FUN. geez how would a hockey version even work. would you just join a team or would you have to be assigned one? WHAT IF THERE WERE, LIKE, INVENTED TEAMS. Like, a non-NHL league with like 10 teams that were entirely made up. hmmmmmmm

I think it could be fun having them be related to actualfax teams but 32 teams is A LOT SO MAYBE it can be an original six and then the more members you have you can choose to ~expand~ and the mods of each team can be GMs or something. Some comms get assigned automatically by the higher ups, some have applicants get sorted by the members. I bet you can assign people and then they can ask to be traded out OH MY GOD YOU CAN TRADE MEMBERS AND SIGN THEM TO FREE AGENCY USING COINS OR SOMETHING. The activities/contests can be, IDK, hockey based somehow, I know not everyone likes RPF so maybe it'll be "WRITE A DRABBLE OF BETTMAN'S FIRST DAY AS COMMISSIONER" or "WALLPAPER OF YOUR FAVORITE TEAM" or something like that and omg there can be a Bettman and a Shanahan mod and they'll be the people who are responsible for disciplining dramamongers and THERE CAN BE VIRTUAL HOCKEY GAMES. LIKE HOW hogwartsishome DID QUIDDITCH WHERE IT'S KIND OF MORE LIKE A TRIVIA CONTEST THAN ANYTHING ELSE AND PEOPLE HAD A HARD TIME GETTING TOGETHER FOR THE SAME TIME BUT IT WAS HYSTERICAL.

omg amazing I love the original 6 and expansion idea, like. you have to accumulate a certain amount of points to become a GM and bring in your team, asdjfhdjs.

can we get an email thread or gdoc going to figure this out! :D
