NaNoWriMo 2013

I hadn't really planned to after last year, but I got a premise and I figured why not. Much, much more slow-going than last year's, which isn't all that surprising because I am pantsing this NaNo instead of planning it.
It's frustrating in some ways because I can't time myself the way I did last year. There's no plot, characters appear out of thin air, and I only have word count goals instead of outline goals. I might very well have 50,000 words at the end, but just the third of a novel. Whether this is better or worse in terms of motivation remains to be seen.
I'm also writing in first person POV, which I kind of prefer not to read and definitely haven't written for a while now, but urgh, for some reason I can't write it in 3rd person limited?
Whatever, I guess. As long as I am hitting daily goals, I think I'll be okay with how this turns out.
