Except for the fact that I keep getting logged out of LJ today's not so bad. :)
Finished with the Real Life from Hell. Finally. Looking forward to A Clockwork Orange tomorrow. *happy sigh*
I watched a movie a while ago with my female friend from high school, and another female friend B teased us about dating. I told her I don't really want to be banged up some trophy case, thankyouverymuch, like a third friend C did to friend B some time back.
Let's call the first friend Harry, friend B Draco, friend C Ron.
Harry is friends with Ron. (Duh.) But Harry thinks Ron is a bit immature. He gets to know Draco--independent, confident Draco--and starts hanging out with him more. Harry starts to *really* like Draco. Draco has other friends though, so he doesn't care much for Harry.
Ron wants to be Harry's friend. He wants to be really really close to Harry. So he clings. But Harrty doesn't like Ron. He likes Draco, so Ron gets jealous of Draco. Draco is all "meh, what do I care?" but Ron seems to think they "need to talk". He approaches Draco after classes one day and demands that they talk. Draco ignores Ron. Ron gets angry (such a sweet-tempered boy, that one) and bangs Draco against the trophy case. Students gather and start betting on who'd win the (cat)fight--over Harry, at that.
Oh, those friends of mine? I met them in high school.
And yes, I came from an all-girl Catholic high school, and that banging against the trophy case *did* happen, and yes it *was* over a girl.
See why I'm traumatised enough not to delve into femslash? I might begin seeing a lot of parallels and I doubt I'll ever be able to look them in the eye again... ^_^;
And oh, I'm eating milk chocolate! Life is complete. :D
