Yuletide Letter 2025

Thank you so much for signing up this year, and I’m so excited to have you assigned to me! I'm Slumber on AO3 as well, and it's my seventh time signing up for Yuletide, which has been nothing but a fantastic time for me, so I hope it is for you as well.

For what it’s worth I’m incredibly easy to please, so feel free to run away with whatever ideas you may already have! But if you wanted some prompts, I hope this letter helps inspire you.

Ratings: G to E are fine!

Likes. It depends on the ship and the dynamics that attracted me to them in the first place, but I quite love canon-centric studies of relationships and dynamics and seeing the different nuances other people have on a character over AUs.

Tonally I gravitate to lighter fare, but I'm also very happy with pieces that go deep into character studies and introspection are more than welcome too!

If you would prefer to do something lighter and warm-hearted, I'm always up for those tried-and-true romcom tropes of idiots in love, mutual pining, friends to lovers, fake dating, didn't know they were dating, practically married, etc. 5+1 fics are great too! I love domesticity but not established relationship, so anything in that vein would be amazing too!

I'm a bit of a heavy shipper but in case you're not up for the ships I've listed, you're more than welcome to go the genfic route as well, no worries!

DNWs. There isn’t a lot that I don’t like — name a trope and I’d probably be able to come up with at least one work I’ve read in it that has stayed with me. That said, I don’t always seek out fic with first-person POV, BDSM elements, noncon elements, pregnancy, dark themes for darkness' sake, and kink-centered PWPs. I've got to be in a specific mood for Major Character Death, terminal illness, wedding fic and kidfic (I know, I know), so I'd rather not have any of them. I also would prefer it when people don't say "I love you" and instead have it shown/understood through their actions/obliquely. I'd really also not prefer unhappy endings — bittersweet & hopeful is fine! Light angst is okay, things don't always have to be easy, but I'm here for good vibes mostly.

The Prompts. Here’s a blanket disclaimer on the prompts here — feel free to absolutely ignore them and run away with your own ideas! If something I’ve said sparks an offshoot kind of idea, please pursue it! All I’d be truly happy for is another round at reliving these characters in their worlds, and I am SO looking forward to what you come up with whether it’s from one of these prompts or not! So please consider them starting points, if anything, or some way to get a sense of what drew me to these characters/fandoms to start. Thank you so much! <3

Hanae Yuuma | Hana, Satogiri Shuumei | Mei

General: ODAO! OMG JUST GET THEM TOGETHER I'M DYING X'D I love the gender that's at play here, and I would be so happy if we could explore that at any point in their near or far future! OK with keeping their gender identities as they are too, but maybe experimenting with the female vs male presentations of their characters! I would love to see some kind of progression toward realizing that their boy versions are alright, actually, and maybe one or both of them wrestling with liking two different??? People??? At the same time? (Who obviously aren't different but you know!) OR one of them (or both??) figuring out who the other is, and how they handle that. Or what IF they end up dating in SOME variation (maybe as Hana and Mei?) and they both think they're lying to each other about who they really are -- which they ARE, but also, LOL. There's just so much fun shenanigans to be had here, I'm up for anything!

Possible prompts:
+ Date date date date!!
+ You know that typical teen movie wrench in the perfect plan where there's two competing events happening at the same time and someone has to be two people at once? That one.
+ Tanigami Yuzuru and Udon getting torn between helping them out or seeing how long this drags on lol
+ An accidental reveal! That STILL doesn't quite reveal the full thing, or does!

Joohyun (Feel My Benefit), Seojun (Feel My Benefit)

General: ODAO! These are just two very dumb people who are very dumb about their feelings. And we know what all of their unprotected sex is leading to, so if you jumped ahead and got to that part, I would be SO grateful because the updates are killing me XD It's so tropey but I love plot where omegas disappear pregnant and show up a few years later with a kid of a dead ringer for the alpha they abandoned -- I'm not saying, I'm just saying. Equally will be happy with PWP of the two of them going at it, pregnancy kink optional. Established relationship dates? Domestic future bliss? I genuinely will take ANY flavor of these two you are willing to cook up for me, thank you very much for the food!

Possible prompts:
+ Seojun accompanying Joohyun to the doctors' appointments and being endearingly sweet and awkward about the strangest things
+ Feelings realization -- both Seojun's and Joohyun's? Or Seojun's!
+ Noona gives Seojun the shovel talk
+ Breaking up (bc stupid reasons, misunderstandings, etc) and making up

Baek Eunsan, Ryu Ian

General: Hockey and BL in one beautiful manhwa?? Say no more! I love the stubbornness of Ian and the doggedness and earnestness of his affections for Baek Eunsan. The way he keeps needling things out of Eunsan is adorable, Eunsan doesn't even know how! I'm here for their dynamic, for their rediscovery of who they've become in the years since they last saw each other, in Ian succeeding and making Eunsan fall for him after all!!

Possible prompts:
+ Eunsan chasing arc~ Maybe Ian does return to Canada, maybe he keeps his word, and it's Eunsan who finds how much he doesn't like this, actually
+ Eunsan realizing his feelings out of a completely ordinary, unremarkable event?
+ But what if Ian never left Korea?

Lee Jaewoo (Seeing Double), Lee Seowoo (Seeing Double), Ra Ohn (Seeing Double)

General: I loved this triangle as a triangle, yes, but you can't just give me twins and also only expect me to be fine with just ONE of them getting the guy!!!

Possible prompts:
+ Ohn chooses them both!
+ Jae-woo and Seo-woo decide to team up and apologize to Ohn
+ Ohn (or any one of them) has a very naughty dream >:)

Egashira Mika, Nao-chan

General: ODAO! I absolutely adore everyone in this show, but I think Mika and Nao-chan's relationship is the most interesting for me. I love it in both the shippy as well as the non-shippy way, and I'd love to see this explored a bit more, especially as Nao-chan sees herself in Mika, a little bit, and has taken her under her wing, and Mika feels a little bit more at ease showing her vulnerabilities to Nao-chan. I really like that they're a little less polite, a little more honest with each other, in ways that maybe they don't let themselves be when they're with Mitsumi. (For this canon, I'm OK with all ratings from canon setting to later.)

Possible prompts:
+ Mika approaches Nao to tell her about all her firsts. (Maybe it's just that, maybe this time Mika wants Nao to be one of her firsts.)
+ It's Nao's turn to open up.
+ Nao and Mika really do share a lot of things in common.
+ Outside POV on Nao and Mika's strange-but-makes-sense relationship.

Sawashiro Tsubaki, Shimizu Yuu


General: ODAO! This is such a sweet little manga and I think Tsubaki's crush on Yuu is the most adorable thing in the world. I would LOVE to skip ahead to a few years later doesn't have to be THAT far in the future >.> and Tsubaki's all grown up. How does he change? Do his feelings? What about Yuu's? I think growing up, and the changes around how we think, and how other people think of us, is super interesting and would be a fun point of exploration, especially when it comes to developing feelings for someone who you didn't see that way before. (That said, I would also be down for a canon-setting story that follows the same vein of the manga, too, or maybe even wherever else your heart leads you!)

Possible prompts:
+ One of them goes away for a few years and returns to find things have changed in their absence.

+ Many, many, many years later, Tsubaki's crush on Yuu is now a fond little story everyone brings up for nostalgia/fun/light-hearted teasing, sometimes even around Tsubaki's girlfriends, who can't believe the cool, athletic Yuu used to have a crush on his older neighbor! But all kids went through phases like that, and it was always just a phase. Right?

+ Maybe a canon setting fic or just a short bit after canon where Tsubaki tries to act older than he is and make Yuu think differently of him, and how his efforts end~

+ Tsubaki grows closer to friends his own age and Yuu starts feeling some kind of way about this. Can be set anytime.
