Yesterday, I went out with my friends, and we ended up going to this bookstore which I rarely go to, and I was excited, because then I'd be able to buy some more Gaiman stuff, right, except there weren't any besides the two that I already have. Boohoo.

I bought the last two books in the Artemis Fowl series instead, and a tarot deck.

That's the most I've spent in a bookstore with my own money, because I usually save book shopping sprees for when I'm out of the country and my mom gives me shopping money, but I've wanted to buy a deck for a while now. I don't even know why... I've seen Vision of Escaflowne, and tarot was a prominent theme there, but I wasn't half as interested, and that was my favorite anime. I see a tarot reading in one itsy bit of Things You Can Tell Just By Looking At Her, and the next day I want to know where tarot decks can be bought.

I have 78 card meanings to memorize, and maybe the reverse meanings, too, if I still have enough capacity in my head.

But whee! I am excited. :D

Yay, you bought Artemis Fowl? I love the series. ^_^ I'm feeling wistful, now. I've always wanted tarot cards. :D Have you ever read "A Sorcerer's Companion: A Guide to the Magical World of Harry Potter"? It tells you how to read tea leaves! I'm just so in love with all things mystical and divination-y. ^_~

Yep, and I'm reading through the second book now. :D Never too late, I try to tell myself, but I wish I read the children's books I've been reading while I was growing up. :D

Nope, I haven't read that, but that sounds interesting! :P I'm loving what I'm learning in tarot--it's a bit complicated, but it's so much fun! :D
