Another Oscars Question

Need help on this one again. During Awards Night, aren't there always small clips shown from the films that are nominated for Best Picture? Then those are spread throughout the night, in between giving out awards and stuff, right? Question is, what other clips are shown in Awards Night? Aren't there lifetime achievement tributes or something? Histories, etc? Can you tell me what else is shown?

Reason I'm asking is still because of that party I'm helping plan. (Really wish I had an Emmet Honeycutt with me right now.) I've asked my friend if she wants to have short AV presentations during the night and she loved the idea, but I'm not sure what those presentations should be about, besides her, specifically.

I'm also looking into the songs of Oscars, and I don't know what I can do with the list of Best Picture nominees and winners, but if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. :P

Before I forget, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO THE PHILIPPINES!!! *waves Philippine flag* (But I won't be completely at peace with the Philippines until after the canvassing of votes is done, and GMA is declared president. *stones Congress*)
