Notes To Self:
Jun. 24th, 2004 08:25 pm1. If planning to remind yourself to read something, DO NOT put the reminder on whatever it is you are planning to read in the first place. Needless to say, it is a STUPID idea.
2. Forget Wednesday Rituals for coming up with a fic. Economics class is as good time as any to plan the next fic.
3. Yes, it IS possible to be swayed off balance by an accounting book. Such are the possible dangers of an accountant's life; beware.
4. When stumbling forward while climbing the stairs (again due to the perils posed by the Horngren accounting book), it is best to do so with no one watching and while somebody else is coming down the stairs. The best time of stumbling forward is when she is just passing by you--that way, she thinks it's her fault you fell and you can pretend it was and you can be saved the trouble of being embarrassed.
5. Beware suddenly attentive people. In all likelihood, they only want you to take on a position of authority and power, which is in actuality only a position of great responsibility and stress. DO NOT accept because you think you've got the Slytherin in you for the ambition, because you HAVEN'T got the Hufflepuff in you for the work it requires. (Too late; I've accepted.)
