More art that I've been doing lately. Still nowhere with my fic-writing mojo, although I signed up for a team at [livejournal.com profile] mating_games which means at least a 500-word thing every week \o/ buuuut that's about it, oops.

Ummm ArtRage has been great, but in terms of coloring I've been finding Photoshop easier to work with. I do love the way the oils work on ArtRage, but I'm not quite getting the hang of manipulating those. And I've always preferred to work with watercolors (like, you know, back when I was taking 6th grade art classes, lol) and the adjustment to digital is just kind of iffy for me.

And then yesterday I learned how to make vectors!

Well, not quite. Because you really kind of need Adobe Illustrator for that, and I just don't need it enough to justify a purchase. BUT there were a few Photoshop tutorials for how to make vector-like images, so I went and got my favorite image of Daenerys Targaryen from this season and did this:

Title: Under the Mistletoe
Pairing: Tom/Bellatrix
Rating: G
Word Count: 108
Summary: Be careful who you find yourself under the mistletoe with.
Additional Notes: Pinch-hit for [livejournal.com profile] hp_kris_kringle.

When her sisters giggled over who they’d kissed under the mistletoe, Bellatrix kept quiet, choosing vicious red dress robes and a delicate necklace, for she was to meet Rodolphus Lestrange at that night’s party.

“Hurry up, children,” she said. “And I’d be careful who I find myself with under it.”

But she hadn’t been careful. Before the Lestranges arrived, she looked up to where the mistletoe was and saw it directly above her.

“Fascinating, isn’t it?” a voice murmured from behind her. She turned to a handsome man with a charming grin. “I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Tom Riddle.”

Right, bit of a backgrounder. Waaaaay back when it was still summer, I went up to an almost-stranger and asked her for a Gmail invite, which she graciously gave me, despite the fact that I was only a friend of her friend. I told her I'd write her at least 500 words of any ship she wanted, and her requests were either Lucius/Pansy, Bellatrix/Neville, and Ernie/Hermione. I told her I'd do the last.

Six months later, I have no Ernie/Hermione to show for my efforts. This is really quite sad, if not a bit funny. She's never asked me about the ficlets, and yeah, it kind of looks like I chickened out altogether, but I love my Gmail to tiny little bits and pieces and she is a very sweet girl.

[livejournal.com profile] starrysummer, thank you ever so much. I apologise for being half a year late, and I wibble upon these fics, but I do hope you enjoy them. Happy Christmas!

Title: Superimposition
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Bellatrix/Neville
Length: 875 words
Rating: PG13
Warnings: None
Summary: Neville wants to avenge his parents, but it isn't so easy.
Notes: Erm, I don't know if I got Bellatrix quite right, or Neville, for that matter. I'm not used to writing either, so apologies in advance.

Title: And Again
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Bellatrix/Ernie/Hermione
Length: 500 words
Rating: R
Warnings: None
Summary: Hermione's been broken, and Ernie can't fix her.
Notes: Much as I tried, I could not write Ernie/Hermione. It was somehow too, um, harmonious for me. Then I saw Bellatrix/Ernie/Hermione in your interests, which was a bit eye-catching, as you're the only one who had that listed, so I thought maybe I'd write you that instead, as technically, it is still Ernie/Hermione. ;) (Also, ack. Pardon the cheesy summary.)
