slumber: (lost in dreams)
[personal profile] slumber
Woke up today rather disappointed to realise that I'd not dreamt of anything interesting last night. For the last few weeks I've been keeping something of a dream journal, which helps make me remember my dreams more vividly. Sometimes too vividly. :|

  • I was Spiderman. Sort of, only not really, and then Kirsten Dunst ended up kissing me--well, not so much kissing as sucking pretty hard, which was really pretty fucking weird. :|

  • I was making my way to the top of a building where there was, apparently, a portal to seven worlds (which alluded to the seven days of creation or something fantasyish like that) and I made it to the fourth day, which was full of water, and I challenged the goddess there and earned her favour or something.

  • Something like Armaggedon was happening and one of the surefire ways to save people we loved was to contact them and have them reply before my friends and I could perform this ritual with a wizened old man. I didn't contact everyone I loved and by the end of the dream, had no idea what had happened to them. :(

  • A priest saying the word penis twice. In front of his church. :| Yeah I don't know either.

  • Superman Versus Immortal Fire Ant. This was a hell of a lot weird. Also involved a fire that I never saw, and Blaise, Justin, and Hermione from SE. :| And saving my laptop from certain harm.

What are your weirdest/most vivid dreams? (Because I have to know: I'm not the only one with crazy-ass dreams, am I?)

last nite i dreamt i was part of the fantastic four. actually, it was just the fantastic two as i went galivanting around with jessica alba. the weirdest part was getting into the skintight superhero suit. it was... snug in all the wrong places |: actually, no, the weirdest part is that the suit can change colours through verbal commands. except mine was defective. when i said "orange", it turned tie-dyed. \=

Haha, that's really pretty cool. :P I tried looking up superheroes in dream dictionaries, though, but they're sadly not helpful explanations. :|

I had this really, really lucid dream about dating Michael, oh, about two months before anything happened. :| My friend was all, "It's a premonition!" and I was like, "Shut up, it so isn't." When everything happened she made sure to rub it in my face. I was really creeped out when I thought about it.

Then when I started dating him, we were both kinda nervous about telling our parents (it took me a week and a half and it took him longer), and it was just worse when I dreamt that I told my mom, and then my teeth started falling out. When I pointed it out to her she said, "That's what happens when you steal people's men!" I woke up crying.

My weirdest dream involved this old woman forcing me to sell shoes to people on a cliff. Except when I sold them the shoes, they sat down, put them on and went running off. I was trying really hard to convince her that selling them was wrong, because it sent people off the cliff, but she told me that there was only jello down at the bottom. I never stopped selling them, though, proving I am money hungry even while I'm sleeping.

As of late I've been remembering old dreams in that hazy ten minute dozing period before I drop off to the land of Zs. I've been trying to figure out if there are any clues in them that I'm supposed to have kept in mind for ... I don't know, warnings in life, I guess, but there's no common theme, except for the fact that I'm in them all, in some form. Weird.

Several involve me in a car -- never behind the wheel, always in the backseat -- driving beneath huge bridges, or past incredibly high walls or... just anything large I can somehow navigate my way through, under, over or around.

Then there's just plain silly ones where I'm having food fights with complete strangers in a castle ball room, so don't ask me what any of it means.

Your dreams were very amusing, especially the one about the priest. XD

Once I dreamt that I swam from my local pool to Chicago, where I then toured the city on a scooter and went on a rollercoaster to the sky only I fell off and broke my legs and my shoulder.

Lucid dreams! I never get those. :(

Hmmm, falling teeth are supposed to mean something, but I forget what it was. I remember looking it up once for Lissa, and it's supposed to be a common dream, but I've never had one myself.

Anyway, prophetic dreams. :| One of my weirdest dreams involved dating this local B-list actor that I hadn't given more than a thought to in, like, years, and then a day after dreaming it, he came up in conversation--apparently, the guy we were talking to about our project made B-List Actor his partner for one of his restaurants--and the day after that, I saw him on TV. :|

Actually, all my recent dreams have seemed pretty random, but when I looked up the general interpretations for them, they all alluded to pretty much the same theme. Cars, because I've had at least two dreams involving them, are about the direction you're headed to or something. Backseat position means something like you're not in control of where your life is headed, I think, and I'm not sure what the bridges and walls mean.

I woke up feeling like a sinner. :P

I had this dream once that I had been sent to spy on the Devil, and was disguised as the Spirit of Perpetual Intoxication. I had to pretend I was drunk all the time. Eventually the Devil figured out I was a spy, and he threated to lock me in a box like a Barbie doll. (Why a Barbie doll? No idea.)

Spirit of Perpetual Intoxication. :| *giggles* That's rather cool, actually, not to mention inventive.

Yeah, you are definitely not the only one who gets crazy dreams. (See my most recent LJ post for a full account of a recent, cracked out dream of mine.)

Crazy dreams are always so confusing and stupid in the morning, hey? But I just love how DURING the dream, everything seems to make perfect sense. Like, oh, it's logical for there to be a parking garage full of baked goodies.

Ooh, I shall. :D

Haha, I know, and I think sometimes it would be cool to have lucid dreams, like my friend does, where she knows she's dreaming and thus she can make her do whatever makes most sense in the dream, but then she claims they don't turn out as interesting anymore. (The last and only time I believe I had a lucid dream was when this guy with an axe was chasing after me. :| I was running and then I thought, "I'm getting tired. Maybe I should just stop." so I did, only then I vaguely remembered someone telling me that if I died in my dream, I'd die in real life, so I started running again. :|)

Yeah, I have lucid dreams sometimes, but not all the time. When I try to control my dreams too much, I usually just wake up. I don't know why.

I hate scary dreams, though. Or even ones that aren't that scary, but make you feel like... panicked and terrified in your sleep. Like being chased or something.

Dreams should be interesting, at the very least. Sometimes I wish we could record them.

Argh, I've had my fair share of the scary dreams, the kind that I wake up really pretty shaken up about. :\

I had a dream once that I thought would be pretty cool to film. :P Sadly I don't know the first thing about directing and filming.

Last night I dreamed I was a geeky boy named Paul who'd never had a girlfriend who then got seduced (vividly :|) by a girl who was very very very hot, who took my virginity in the back of her car and then took me home and half seduced me again with cherry pie, sitting on her floor, feeding it to me, when her boyfriend called.

The rest of the dream was me fleeing while he chased me with a shotgun. :|

I once dreamt I had sex with David Tennant, twice, at my primary school. I wrote about it in my LJ after it happened, so you might have read about it before, but I felt the need to repeat it for obvious reasons ♥ :D :D

I must confess, I am not a Dr Who fan and had to look him up to know who you were referring to. :| But ooohh, that's not a bad dream. Not bad at all. *smirks*

I looked it up, and it said they represent transition and loss of childhood innocence, milestones, all that good stuff, which makes sense. Oh, and facing up to the inevitable. :|

Oh, that's weird. I've had dreams like that, only dreaming of a person I haven't seen in ages then running into them the next day.

Um. I think the weirdest dream I've had was the one where I was executed (had my head cut off with a scythe, of all things) but didn't die afterwards. I had to go and find my family before I could properly die, or something like that- only there were these rather creepy mean in black after me, since I was supposed to be dead. (The freakiest part is that I could actually feel my head being cut off. Urgh.)

I really worry about my subconscious sometimes. *grin*

Bridges and walls may be a feeling of being closed in, or on the other hand, wanting to protect oneself by creating a barrier? The fact that the car means direction and the backseat refers to lack of control speaks volumes. My subconscious is a lot more aware than it appears, apparently.

Haha, I'm sure you'll be forgiven! ;)
