slumber: (dorky)
If you've ever requested a drabble from me either through the poll in which I got your addresses so I could send you cards or through that other post in which I askd for prompts, then you've a drabble/ficlet/fic waiting for you somewhere in [livejournal.com profile] creativeslumber, in case you missed any of my posts telling you so. :P I made sure to write at least one for each person, and yay *dances around* I adore drabbles.

But anyway, because I'm a dork (and I even have an icon for it, lol), I've made a master list sort of thing here anyway. Click away to see where your gift drabble is.

Drabbles/Fics )

I've written five drabbles that weren't for anyone specific, but yeah. And now that it's all over, I feel so... written out. *slumps* I want to write more but now there's nothing to write! Woe.

Although, I don't know. Reading the Introduction to Smoke and Mirrors kind of inspired me a bit. I adore Neil Gaiman so much, did you know? Ahh, love. XD

Didn't end up reading that, though. Went through Rainbow Boys and the first part of Lamb, the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal.

*wibbles about Rainbow Boys* I finished it this afternoon. I think I would have finished it sooner if I hadn't been reading most some parts aloud and underlining things in pencil. Kyle is so much like SE!Terry it is INSANE.

"Kyle! When are you ever irresponsible?" (Nelson's screwed up REALLY horribly, life-or-deathish, can't say more because that would spoil, but trust me on this one.)

Kyle scrunched his eyebrows up, thinking. "Well, like when I forget to brush my teeth."

*facepalms*

*flails, also* Lissa! But I don't like Jason, even if he's nice and normal and what's wrong with Nelson? I--oh, oh, there was so much PAIN reading through it, I mean, real wrenching of the heart and stuff, and then I almost cried in the most ABSURD places I can't even remember which those were anymore and EEP WHY DID I NOT BUY RAINBOW HIGH? *flailflail*

And ooh, ooh, reading through Lamb, now. *giggles* Biff is adorable, and so is Joshua (ie, Jesus).

"Or a shepherd," I added quickly. "Being a shepherd seems easy. I went with Kaliel last week to tend his flock. The Law says that two must go with the flock to keep an abomination from happening. I can spot an abomination from fifty paces."

Maggie smiled. "And did you prevent any abomination?"

"Oh yes, I kept all of the abomination at bay while Kaliel played with his favorite sheep behind the bushes."

"Biff," Joshua said gravely, "that was the abomination you were supposed to prevent."

*dies*

I adore these books. <3

Title: Blame the Nargles
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Hermione/Luna
Length: 200 words
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Summary: Christmas spirit helps, a bit.
Additional Notes: I wasn't going to post any more drabbles because I figured you guys would be sick of all the requests I've been putting up :P but then I realised this one was a Christmas drabble, so haha. This goes out to everyone. Happy Holidays!
Edit: For [livejournal.com profile] fanfic100, for the prompt Where?

Hermione found Luna standing directly underneath a mistletoe on the day before students were to leave Hogwarts for the holidays, head tilted up, blue eyes wide, waist-length dirty blonde hair hanging loosely back and mouth slightly open. She stood watching for a few minutes, and Luna stood gaping at the mistletoe for the whole time.

Hermione cleared her throat.

Luna kept staring.

Hermione shook her head.

"Do you see?" came the softest voice.

"I beg your pardon?"

"The nargles," Luna went on, as if she'd been talking to Hermione all this time. "Look, they're hiding behind the leaves, but I saw a flutter of a nargle just a second ago."

There are no such things as nargles, Hermione would have said, but the words died in her throat at the mesmerised look that lit up Luna's face. It must have been the Christmas air, because Hermione didn't feel like spoiling Luna's fun.

"No, I'm afraid I didn't see them," she said instead, taking a few steps to stand beside Luna, and looking up briefly. "I bet they're hiding now, since you've spotted them."

Luna looked down from where the nargles lived, and looked at Hermione with an odd expression. "Mistletoe."
