I borrowed A Separate Peace by John Knowles from my brother, mostly because of this summary:

Set at a boys' boarding school in New England during the early years of World War II, "A Separate Peace" is a harrowing and luminous parable of the dark side of adolescence. Gene is a lonely, introverted intellectual. Phineas is a handsome, taunting, daredevil athlete. What happens between the two friends one summer, like the war itself, banishes the innocence of these boys and their world.

I asked my brother how it was, and he said: "There aren't any gay boys in it."

Pfft. There SO are. ;P

Does anybody know of any hosting sites that support PHP? If yes, please tell kthxbai.

And Reason Number 1127498993 of Why I Love [livejournal.com profile] sailorsimba:

She downloaded Y!M so she could talk with me. *feels loved and special*

(That reason actually goes for [livejournal.com profile] idroppedarice too, and all other people on my flist who downloaded Y!M for me, because I can't download MSN and woe. *loves everyone*)

I wish I had a brother that would tell me whether or not a book was worth me reading. It would probably help if I had a brother...

Ah yes, A Separate Peace. Any boarding schools in literature seem to have slashy elements, and single-sex schools are always even slashier. *thinks of Maurice and Clive at Cambridge*

Are you sick of the phrase "jounced the branch" yet?

Oh, there is SO slash in that book. I'm stuck on, er, page 50 at the moment, because I can't bring myself to find out what happens, because I know it's going to sad, and I'm going to cry.

It really is cute, though, their little Suicide Club and everything.

I love you and you love me and everything's perfect! *kishes*

I so have to read ASP. John Knowles' name is in my palm right now. I have a shitty library, though, so they might not have it. They never have slashy books. :C

Ooh, but I'm going to the bookstore tomorrow (again; I was there today as well :D), and they might have it. I would pray if I believed in any God. ^_^ *glomps*

LOL. *pets* Actually, they wouldn't think it's a slashy piece of literature. ;P *glompkishes*

*pouts* But I swear, there's a conspiracy. They never have the books I want. I was looking for Crime and Punishment today, and since that's so very well known, they should have it, but do you think they did? *rolls eyes* Honestly. (That's a no, btw. -.-)
